I look back at the run-down and bare hotel which I had been taking shelter in the past two nights. The place inside definitely wasn't as bad as it seems on the outside. Friendly people, nice hotel rooms, cheap prices. I suppose it's one of those, "Don't judge a book by its cover" moments.
I look ahead, draw in and let go a large breath. It's going to be a long journey. All will be worth it in the end.
But what if he betrays you? He told you to stay away.
Ohm- 1 week later.
I approached the familiar destination and I set whatever I had left in my bags down by the door. Grabbing the key out of my back pocket, which I always kept, I quietly unlocked the door and sneaked in while holding my bags in my hand. I set them beside the counter and tip toe up the stairs to the bedroom.
There he was, listening to loud music in his ear buds while scrolling on his phone looking at various assortments of things. He didn't see me, so I snuck to the side he was looking away from.
In one quick motion, I got on top of him and kissed him passionately. His favorite cologne was very noticeable as it filled up my nostrils with the wonderful fragrance. Max laid there, shock still evident on his face as he tried to keep his mouth closed and pushed me away from him. Out of the corner of my eye, I saw Max grab something shiny from his bedside drawer.
I felt a sharp pain in my chest. I back up to feel the blade of a knife in my chest. My hand covered the wound, as if trying to grasp it. Blood was oozing out of the wound like a waterfall, splattering and ruining his white covers Pain and some emotion was all I could feel right now. W-was this the betrayal I was thinking about earlier? Is this how it feels?
My eyes start to close as I feel my body slip into an eternal sleep. The last thing I saw was Max sobbing whilst saying,
"Ohm, I'm so sorry baby. I told you I was dangerous."
