Earidin pov
I clashed blades wirh the overly large man, his stench made me want to back up a few feet but I persisted, turning on my heal and elbowing him in the chin, he gave me the releif I was looking for and backed up a few steps. He shook his head and growled at me, then lunged axe over his head ready to come down full force on me. He was slow, too slow. I ynsheathed an arrow and threw it successfully digging into his neck, he was still running but he was already dead, just hasn't figured it out yet. Hmph dark elves, wouldn't pay it no mind if they lost a leg.
I side stepped him and he finally fell to the ground. I turned to the other bandits grouped around a table, staring at me in disbelief. I had won the challenge against their leader. "honor our deal, leave." I pointed to the door of the pub and they adhered to my request, one looked back catching my eye, he bowed his head in respect before leaving.
"alright little one, you can come it now." The fairy poked her head out of the metal pocket I had a blacksmith add to my armour, then climbed up to my shoulder, her single wing pressed firmly to her back.
"you do know I have fifty years in you right?" I laughed at the remark.
" Yes. As you remind me every time."
This time she laughed. "Then why do keep calling me little one?"
"because Felida, you are a little one."
"Only in size, and I'm quite tall among my people." At a full 5" she was a little taller than the other fairies but still a lot shorter than my 6'.
"let us see what our reward is." I moved to the body of the elf and lay Felida down in his chest, she began rummaging through his pockets, while I searched his bag. He had a lot of coin here. Along with an obsidion dagger, I lifted it, it was light with a short and thin blade. I looked to my companion, it would a perfect sword for her. I just have to replace the handle with simthing her hands can wrap around. I Tossed it in my own bag resuming my search through the bag.
" Oh. What's this?" I looked to her as she unrolled a scroll. "look like an adventure to you?"
I moved to read the scroll.
(Look for the double stones with an encased golden staff. It is a dangerous cave, be carful in this venture my love, I want you home, as do your children.
With love: Cherissa)
Damn, I just killed someone's father. Or the man who killed that man, can't be sure. " Yes little one. Good find." I lifted her back to my shoulder and we left the pub.
"why do we always have to go to those places? You know I hate the noiseiness of it." I did not answer, not sure how to really, I don't even know why I go. I just do."hmph. Fine then. I'm going to sleep if your going to be all antisocial." She moved back into the case we called her room. It really was too the walls all padded a small bed and chair along with handles so she wouldn't be thrown around. It was perfect she had said when I first had it made. There was a small pouch hanging off the side for her clothing which Is all she actually cared about.
It was midday and still no sighn of this cave. I would have to ask around. But first, lunch.
"alright little one. Rise and shine time to eat!" I yelled out as I opened the latch to her room and let the light pour in.
Felida pov
I turned in my bed to escape the light but my sensitive ears could not drown out the yelling of my ranger. "don't you know better than to barge into a ladies room?" I thought back to the first few times when he had done that while I was changing. Not my best moments for sure.
"Well I would knock but I doubt you'd answer while sleeping." He was right.
"I want a lock for the Inside." I took the door from him and shot it so I could get dressed. I reached through the slot in my wall and chose a simple green dress. Perfect, I hate green. I pulled it over my head promising to throw it out later, then climbed out onto my rangers shoulder where he was nice enough to put a little iron seat, it had no backrest so he would not hurt himself on it but it was comfy and had handles for while he runs. I looked around, he was sitting at a fire with a rabbit on a stick. Rabbits are cute to humans and elves and anything bigger than them. But fairies, they had a taste for. So every time we had rabbit I couldn't help but smile. Predator turned prey. I don't actually eat we feed off energy which my ranger has plenty of. It's not a bad thing the stuff other things have no need for is what we take. I watched as he ate imagining what it would be like to need to kill something so you might live, it must be horrible. "So what did I miss?"
"Not much. I looked for that cave but I guess well just have to ask around cause i found no sighns of it." That means a town. Which means another pub.
"ughh" I fell on my back against his shoulder.
