Two boys are currently exploring the woods and are walking along a creek. One of the boys has h/c hair and e/c eyes. This is the eldest child of the Hyoudou family Y/n at 10 years old. Next to him is a boy with brown hair and brown eyes. This is the youngest child of the Hyoudou family Issei at 9 years old.
Issei: Are you sure this way is safe Big Bro?
Y/n: Of course I am, besides Camp is like 5 minutes behind us. We can head back at anytime. Besides aren't you the one who wanted to explore?
Issei: A-Alright. I guess you're right.
The two continue walking down the creek for a few more minutes when Y/n suddenly senses something and stops. Issei looks on with a puzzled look.
Issei: Big Bro?
Y/n: Shhh, I hear something.
Issei: What-
Issei is then interrupted by a low growl from behind him.
Issei turns around to see a wolf looking him dead in the eyes.
Issei: W-W-Wolf!
The wolf then jumps at Issei and he screams in fear and he closes his eyes waiting for the wolf to bite him, but it never happens. The young boy opens his eyes and they widen when he sees Y/n in front of him, protecting him. The wolf has currently bitten deep into Y/n's right arm and Y/n screams in pain.
Y/n: AGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!
Issei: B-Big Bro!
Y/n: I-Issei! That rock!
Issei looks to his right to see a rock right next to him. He picks up the rock and begins to use it to beat on the Wolf's head, attempting to make it let go of Y/n's right arm.
Issei: Let go of my big brother you stupid wolf!
Eventually the wolf lets go of Y/n's arm and Y/n kicks it in the face and it stumbles back. It looks at the two and then jumps at them. The two brothers close their eyes and suddenly they hear a gunshot echo through the forest. They open their eyes to see the wolf dead on the ground, a bullet hole through it's skull. The two look to see their father Goro with his hunting rifle and the barrel smoking. Behind him is the brother's mother Miki. The two parents look at their sons and gasp when they see Y/n's mangled arm. The eldest boy just smiles.
Y/n: I-I protected Issei, did I do good?
The boy then passes out from blood loss and pain.
(Timeskip)
Y/n's eyes flicker open and he notices he isn't in the woods. He looks to his right and sees the sight of an IV machine. He realizes he's in the hospital. He looks to his left to see his parents and younger brother looking out the nearby window.
Y/n: M-Mom? D-Dad? I-Issei?
The family turns around and all gasp to see Y/n awake. The first person to come to his side is his mother with tears in her eyes..
Miki: Oh my baby boy, you're awake!
Y/n: H-How long was I out?
Goro: You've been in a Coma for Three Weeks, Son.
Y/n: Three Weeks?
Y/n attempts put his right arm onto his forehead but his eyes widen when he realizes his arm is missing.
