Meow

Kazutora woke up feeling like there was a heavy weight on his chest and he could hardly breathe.

Is there something wrong with me?? He thought.

He slowly opened his eyes to discover the round green orbs that were staring back at him. Turns out it was a fluffy, gray loaf that was causing the weight.

"Hi Twig..." he manages to get out.

Meow

"Oh my gosh! Twig! You're gonna suffocate him! Do you want me to visit you in prison?!" Sakura says lifting the plump loaf off of Kazutora. She was wearing a pink plush robe but it didn't cross her mind until now that she was only in underwear underneath. He blushed at the thought of what she looked like beneath it. It is morning after all.

He starts to sit up and notices a green and blue plaid blanket over him. Did I fall asleep here last night?

"You must have been really tired last night because when I came out of the shower, you were fast asleep on the couch. I couldn't find my box with blankets so Twig let you borrow his since he wasn't using it and... I guess he wanted it back." She says making her way to the kitchen to rummage through boxes for breakfast.

Kazutora felt something rubbing along the bottom of his pants only to look down and see Twig purring.

"Well I'm glad you're feeling more comfortable this morning." He says smiling at him and petting his head.

This made her heart melt.

"It's so weird seeing him like this." She says.

"Why is that?" Kazutora asks.

"He has never really liked men, not that he's been around a lot but he wouldn't even be in the same room as my ex."

Twig jumped up on the couch and began rubbing his face onto Kazutora's. It actually made her kind of jealous, but she was relieved to see her little guy happy.

"I'm around animals a lot so I probably smell like them." He laughs, continuing to pet the large gray furball. "Some people believe that when an animal rubs against you, it's not that they are marking their territory but actually letting other animals know that you are safe to be around."

She smiles because if there is anyone that she does trust, it's Twig.

"You're welcome to stay for some breakfast if you're hungry. I just have to find everything first..." She says looking at the pile of boxes still taking up the kitchen.

"No thank you, I have a lot of stuff to do today and I feel really bad about falling asleep here." He says as he gets up and begins folding the blanket.

"Oh don't worry about it at all! I have a lot to do today as well. I need to go grocery shopping and I have to start looking for a job. I came with savings but I'd rather not have to keep pulling from it."

He lays the blanket on the couch and begins to make his way to the front door.

"I can talk to my boss and see if he needs any more help at the pet store? He's a really nice guy." He says referring to his boss Chifuyu.

"Sure, that would be amazing." She says smiling. He really is so nice.

...

She was nervous as she stood outside the giant double doors of a dress shop. She had been job hunting all day and she was feeling so defeated.

Maybe after this, I'll just call it a day and go get some boba.

She took a deep breath and walked inside to be greeted by a young man working the front counter.

"Hello! Welcome in. What can I help you with today?" He says with an inviting smile.

"Hi, my name is Sakura and I was wondering if you guys were hiring by any chance?"

"Hm...hey boss, this nice girl wants to know if we are hiring." He answers looking over to a man who was tucking clothing needles into a black glove on his left hand.

The boss turned to look at her with the prettiest lavender eyes. His soft lilac hair was styled into a short mullet. His face was one easily one of the friendliest faces she had ever seen.

"You said your name was Sakura? My name is Takashi Mitsuya!" He smiles at her.

She takes a few steps toward him.

"It's nice to meet you Mr. Mitsuya!" She smiled back at him.

"Please, just call me Mitsuya!" He chuckles. "Do you have any experience in retail?"

"Yes I do! I've been working in retail for about 5 years now." She says.

"How about your availability?" He asks.

"I'm completely open to be honest. I just moved here a few days ago and I'm willing to start as soon as you need me as well."

Mitsuya thinks for a moment.

"Okay, you're hired!" He says with a grin so big, his eyes close.

"Really?!"

"Yeah, I am a pretty good judge of character and I think you'd fit in perfectly here!"

She was ecstatic. Finally, her grueling job hunt met its end.

"Thank you so-"

"MITSUYA! You are truly magical!" A light pinky-orange girl says coming out of the dressing room with the most beautiful wedding dress.

She steps onto the pedestal in front of a large mirror and Mitsuya walks up to her and begins putting needles into the dress.

"Wow, your dress is absolutely beautiful! Congratulations!" Sakura says to the sweet girl.

"Thank you!" She says. "I'm sorry, I may have overheard your conversation earlier. Your name is Sakura right? I'm Hinata! But you can just call me Hina."

"Nice to meet you Hina!"

"Have you had a chance to make any new friends since moving here?" She asks.

"Just one." She says referring to the adorable boy from the pet shop.

"Well now you have two more! Right Mitsuya?!" She says smiling at him.

"Mhmm." He mutters as he takes the pin he had in his mouth out for a moment. "Hey Sakura, would you be able to start tomorrow at 9am?" He asks her before putting the pin back in his mouth and starts messing with the dress a bit more.

"Yes! I can be here." She says.

"Great...shee you den!"

She leaves the shop and walks around the corner to a boba shop as a reward. I mean, I do deserve it.

Meanwhile, as Hina and Mitsuya were finishing up...

"Hey Mitsuya, you know what I was thinking?" She says.

"What Hina?" He asks.

"That girl, Sakura...you think she might be a good match for you know who?" She says with a smirk.

"Hm...if I'm thinking about who you're thinking of..." He ponders for a moment. "Yeah, I could definitely see them together!" He smiles.

"Eeeek! This is gonna be so fun, I love playing cupid!" Hina says in excitement.
