Time flies by with my new school and job. It is the end of May; the school year is almost over. I am at the Mercedes factory just finishing today's work when I see Lewis walking towards me.

- Hi Sara, are you done for today? – he steps to me.

- Yes, and you?

- Yeah, I just had a quick meeting with Toto about the next race. – he says. – Come, I will take you home.

I grab my bag and follow him outside. We go to his beautiful Mercedes and we get in.

- If you want, you can get a company car, to make travelling easier. – says Lewis.

- That's nice but I don't know how to drive. I never had a chance to get my driver's licence. – I answer.

He stops in the middle of the parking lot looking at me.

- You are living next to a Formula 1 driver and you don't know how to drive? We have to change this immediately. Get out of the car. – he orders.

- What are you doing? – I ask confused.

- We are changing seats; you will take us home. – he says calmly.

- I don't think that's a good idea. I have no clue what to do and your car doesn't seem like one which would look good damaged. Besides, I don't think it is legal to drive without a licence or without a driving instructor's presence.

- Who would be a better instructor than a six-times world champion? – he laughs. – And this car is automatic, anyone can drive it.

I get in behind the wheel panicked, I don't know if I am ready to do this.

- What if the police stop us? – I ask worried.

- Then I will use my charm to get out of the situation, just relax, I won't let anything bad happen. I wouldn't get into the car with you if I didn't think that you are able to take us home safely.

I calm down a little bit. How hard could it be? He explains everything in detail and he gives me the green light to start the car. I slowly go forth squeezing the wheel.

- Just relax, you are doing fine, beautiful.

His words make me feel better so I start going around the parking lot very carefully not to cause any accidents. After a couple of rounds, he tells me that it is time to hit the road. The factory is only a five-minute drive home and the roads are mostly empty. I go out the parking lot and make a right turn to a long street which leads to our building.

- I think you are allowed to drive a little faster. – smiles Lewis and I look down to see that we are driving at 30 km/h.

I accelerate the car feeling the pace in my body. I get a rush of adrenaline. I am driving. I cannot believe it; I feel so free at the moment.

- This is amazing. – I smile at Lewis quickly.

- Turn left here. – he instructs.

- But that road takes us to the freeway, I am not ready. – I panic.

- Don't worry, beautiful. I am here, nothing bad will happen.

I make the turn and go onto the long road which is mainly empty.

- And now darling, hit the gas pedal.

I do as he tells me and I hear the engine roar, we are going fast, or I mean relatively fast because he usually drives at an insane speed. I can't stop smiling. After a couple of miles, Lewis tells me to take the next exit.

- I want to show you something; turn left. – he says.

We stop in front of a small café and we go inside. Lewis orders a large latte for me and a tea for himself. We sit down to one of the tables, the place is empty except for us.

- So how was it? – he smiles at me.

- It was incredible, now I understand why you like racing. Although I will settle for the freeway speed, that is enough for me. – I answer. – Thank you so much!

- I will talk to Toto and we will find you an instructor to get your licence. You cannot be the only Mercedes employee who doesn't drive.

- That would be amazing.

We chat for a little bit and when we are finished with our drinks we go out.

- Come on, I will show you what real speed is like. – says Lewis getting into the car.

We hit the freeway and Lewis starts to accelerate but he doesn't stop when he reaches the limit, he pushes further making the car go at an insane speed.

- Oh my god, Lewis, I don't want to die. – I scream fearing for my life.

- Don't worry, beautiful, I won't ever let anything bad happen to you.

My heart is racing but not because of the speed but for his words. For the first time in my life I feel safe.
