Jon, was still a first-year computer science student had always been a driven and ambitious individual. As he entered his first year of college, he set his sights on achieving academic excellence and earning a spot on the dean's list. He dedicated countless hours to studying, attending lectures, and engaging in group discussions to deepen his understanding of the subjects.

However, despite his best efforts, there was one particular subject that seemed to be eluding him. Every semester, Jon found himself struggling to meet the required grade of 2.00 or higher, falling just short of his goal. It frustrated him to no end, as he poured his heart and soul into mastering the material.

As the semester progressed, Jon's determination grew stronger. He sought help from professors, joined study groups, and even spent extra time in the library to grasp the challenging concepts. Yet, no matter how hard he tried, that elusive subject continued to be a hurdle on his academic journey.

One evening, as Jon sat in his dorm room, surrounded by textbooks and lecture notes, he couldn't help but feel a mix of frustration and disappointment. He had given his all to every assignment, exam, and project, but that one subject seemed determined to hold him back.

Feeling overwhelmed, Jon decided to reach out to his friends for support. He gathered his closest companions, including Ralph, Khassandra, Bernadette, Patrick, and Janna, in his dorm room. They were his pillars of strength, always there to uplift him during difficult times.

Jon: (sighing) Guys, I don't know what else to do. I've been giving my best, but this one subject keeps slipping through my fingers. It's disheartening to see my efforts fall short each time.

Ralph: (placing a comforting hand on Jon's shoulder) Hey, buddy, I know how hard you've been working. It's frustrating, no doubt, but don't let this setback define you. Remember, you're more than just one subject.

Khassandra: (nodding) Ralph's right, Jon. You're incredibly talented, and we all know how dedicated you are to your studies. Sometimes, things just don't go as planned, but that doesn't mean you should give up.

Bernadette: (encouragingly) You've come so far, Jon. Don't let this one subject discourage you. Keep pushing forward, and I'm sure you'll find a way to overcome this obstacle.

Patrick: (smiling) You've got a whole team of friends here who believe in you, Jon. We've seen your determination and drive. You're capable of achieving great things, even if this one subject seems challenging.

Janna: (softly) Jon, remember why you started this journey in the first place. You're passionate about computer science, and that passion will carry you through. Don't let a single subject define your worth.

Jon looked around at his friends, their words resonating deep within him. Their unwavering support and belief in his abilities uplifted his spirits.

Jon: (grateful) Thank you, guys. I needed that reminder. You're right—I shouldn't let this setback overshadow my love for computer science. I'll keep pushing forward and give it my all, regardless of the outcome.

Ralph: (smirking) That's the spirit, Jon. Remember, success is not always measured by grades alone. It's about the lessons you learn, the growth you experience, and the resilience you develop along the way.

The room filled with laughter and camaraderie as Jon's friends rallied around him, offering their unwavering support. In that moment, Jon realized that academic excellence was just one part of his college journey. With his friends by his side, he was ready to face any challenge that came his way and strive for greatness in all aspects of his life.

The evening continued with laughter and Jon noticed something was odd with Ralph and Khassandra.

Up until Ralph gave his phone over to Jon to hold because he was reaching something under the table and Jon unpurposely opened Ralph's phone and there Khassandra was in his wallpaper.

Jon minded his own business and let Ralph tell him what was going on with him and Khassandra.

Jon:(in his mind) That's why there was odd between the two, hmmm, interesting.

As days went by Jon couldn't help but notice the subtle glances exchanged between Ralph and Khassandra whenever they were together. There was an undeniable spark between them, and it piqued Jon's curiosity. He decided it was time to playfully confront Ralph about his suspicions.

One evening, as they gathered at their favorite hangout spot, Jon couldn't contain his mischievous grin any longer. He leaned in closer to Ralph, a twinkle in his eyes.

Jon: (teasingly) Ralph, my man, it seems like you've been struck by the arrow of love. I've noticed the way you look at Khassandra. Care to spill the beans?

Ralph's face turned a shade of red as he chuckled nervously. He had hoped to keep his budding relationship with Khassandra a secret for a little while longer.

Ralph: (blushing) Oh, come on, Jon! Can't a guy have his secrets? But alright, I confess. Khassandra and I have been spending more time together, and there's definitely something special between us.

Jon's grin widened, and he playfully nudged Ralph's shoulder.

Jon: (teasingly) Well, well, well, Mr. Secretive. I had a feeling something was up. I'm thrilled for you both! Khassandra is an amazing person, and if anyone can make you happy, it's her.

Ralph's nervousness transformed into a broad smile, relief flooding his face. He was grateful that Jon took the news in stride and showed his support.

Ralph: (gratefully) Thanks, Jon. Your approval means a lot to me. I didn't want to complicate things or make it awkward between us, but Khassandra and I couldn't ignore the connection we felt.

Jon: (playfully) Awkward? Come on, Ralph, you're my bro! Our friendship can handle a little romance drama. Besides, it's about time you found someone who appreciates your nerdy jokes.

Their laughter filled the air as Jon's lighthearted response eased any tension that lingered. The bond between Jon and Ralph remained strong, and Jon knew that supporting his friend's newfound happiness was the right thing to do.

Jon: (genuinely) Seriously, Ralph, I'm genuinely happy for you. You deserve all the love and happiness in the world. Just don't forget about us single folks while you're busy being all lovey-dovey, alright?

Ralph: (grinning) Don't worry, Jon, I won't abandon you. You'll always be my partner-in-crime, no matter what. And who knows, maybe you'll find your own special someone sooner than you think.

The two friends raised their glasses in a toast, celebrating the joys of new beginnings and the unwavering bond they shared. As they bantered and laughed together, Jon felt a sense of warmth and happiness, knowing that their friendship would endure through any changes life threw their way.
