By the end of the moon, it will be the end of the four Clans! Snarlfang's words echoed in Frostblaze's head.
She shivered. This can't be happening...
The cats of all four Clans were shocked to the point that they were speechless.
"You can't do that!" Silverstar growled, unsheathing her claws. "There has been four Clans and there will always be four Clans!"
Snarlfang laughed. "Maybe you need a little... encouragement..."
Snarlfang leaped at Silverstar so fast that Frostblaze could hardly see his dark brown tabby fur.
The fight didn't last long. Within hearbeats, Snarlfang had Silverstar pinned.
"Let this be a warning," he hissed, slicing Silverstar's throat.
"No!" Dewsplash yowled.
Frostblaze's paws trembled. Is Silverstar going to wake up?
Silverstar didn't stir, and from the looks from her Clanmates, she realised that Silverstar will never wake up again.
The ThunderClan leader is dead.
Snarlfang looked unmoved from that. He bent down to Silverstar's unmoving body. Then, so quietly that only a few cats can hear, he mewed smoothly, "I have taken seven lives from Brownstar. Now, I have taken two from yours. Thank you for letting me take nine lives away."
"You killed Brownstar!" Russeteyes snarled.
"Consider it a favour," Snarlfang hissed. "But poor Froststar didn't make it, did she?"
"You!" Appleshade tried to leap up to the Great Rock but Spikethorn stopped her.
"I am here to give all of you a little warning," he purred. "The battle will be your last."
The Dark Forest tom disappeared, leaving the Clans dazed and horrified.
"What are we going to do?" Sparrowshadow cried. The ThunderClan cats looked at Hailfall. His eyes were clouded - with shock, Frostblaze guessed.
"Let's get back to camp first," he muttered, padding away.
Hailfall is going to be leader. But this might mean more trouble than it's supposed to be.
Frostblaze was about to walk off but she stopped when Brackenflame called her.
"Yes?" she asked.
"I-I saw him!" Brackenflame stammered. "In a d-dream! And you were f-fighting him!"
"Brackenflame!" one of his Clanmates called before Frostblaze could speak.
A brown tabby tom with dark yellow eyes padded to him. "Are you okay?" Alderstep asked, frowning slightly.
When Brackenflame didn't reply, Alderstep mewed to Frostblaze, "He must have experienced another of his visions. He will be fine. You should join your Clan now."
"Okay," Frostblaze mewed.
If Brackenflame's visions made him as scared as this, Snarlfang is more dangerous than I can even imagine.
