Chapter: 15

Madeline's POV:

He kept his promise as I began to learn the ways of an Assassin. I feel my determination burning through me and I felt like I finally have found my purpose. My mother will be avenged and so will Elise. I can't believe the Grand Master lied to me and when I was his protegee. I was always the one he was sending out to get things done. The others were good, but not as good as me. Now, they have lost me and I will return to end each of their lives.

I have notice others in the hallway looking at me, but I ignore them. I felt insecure around the others, but I didn't get the feeling like they didn't want me here. It was like admiration, but I'm not sure. It's strange to be here and to learn all of this. It's really different from the Templar's and I kind of like that. I felt like I have more freedom now, then I ever did. It didn't feel like I was trapped at all, but finally free once again.

I walk down the hallway and down the stairs that were at the end and kept going all the way down. It was on the last floor where I was suppose to meet Arno at. I came down to the final landing and look around noticing that it was a training room. It look like any other floor, but it also look like a basement underneath a house. So, I'm guessing the main doors must be one floor up. I was curious in seeing if I was right, but I didn't move or go back up.

Arno had come out from behind one of the straw dummies. He smirk at me and I walk over to him. Does he really think I need training on how to use a sword or something like that? "Why have you brought me down here?" I asked.

"Hold your left wrist out" He instructed ignoring my question.

I did as he told me as I didn't say anything more. He began to strap something to my wrist. I look down at it as I was unsure what it was. He finish strapping the thing to my wrist. He move his hands as I look down at what I was seeing on my wrist. I look up at him confused as I asked "Is this-"

"Yes, it's a hidden blade" He said and asked "Do you know how to use one?"

I gave him a narrow look as he chuckled "I thought so, but I wasn't sure. What the Templar's were doing about our weaponry? If they were using them or not"

"I can tell you right now, that they don't use hidden blades. They stick to their swords and armor" I answered without really thinking about it.

He smirked "You're more open. I like it..."

My cheeks began to burn as I asked "So, what do you want me to do with this?"

"To train you on how to use one. After all, if you're going to be Assassin, you have to know how we killed our foe or enemies" He answered his smile disappearing from his lips.

"I have chosen this path. I'm not going back" I confirmed with his suspicions of me turning against him because he said foes as in Templars. I want the Grand Master's head for what he had done and lied to me. I will get my vengeance one or another, but will not let it consume me.

"Good. That's what I want to hear" He said nodding as his smile came back onto his lips.

I nodded to him as my lips were twitching to smile back, but I just settle for a small smile in return to his. He came over to me and move behind me as he place his hand my wrist with the hidden blade. He murmured "With just a simple flick of your wrist, the blade will be sheathe once again"

He move my wrist as I would have and the blade disappear into it's sheathe. My eyes widen in awe at the blade that was on my wrist. It was no wonder they could always get one on us. I shook my head mentally, I'm not them anymore. I felt his hand on my hip and my cheeks were growing hotter just from his touch. My breath hitch in my throat as he murmured and I could tell his voice took on a husky tone "And with another flick of your wrist the blade will come out. Why don't you try it?"
