Into the fog

That start of something nice

A scream was heard in Midwich while The Trapper Moried the second last survivor.

The last survivor was a man named Dwight, he was a Geeky guy who was hated by almost all the others. He was known for hiding in lockers or blowing up generators. As soon as he heard the scream he jumped out of the locker he was previously in and ran to try and find hatch. Luckily he found it and quickly jumped into it escaping only to be teleported back to the campfire. He knew the survivors would be mad at him for hiding but hell he got use to it.

As he opened his eyes prepared to be yelled at he was shocked when he saw everyone sitting on the logs talking to each other. "Um, h-hi everyone?" Dwight nervously said "Dwight hey! We are talking about how we got here would you like to join?" Kate asked the Geek. "Oh um alright" Dwight said obviously scared. "Start us off Dwight" Yui told the nervous boy "Alright where should I begin?" Dwight asked the 37 (I think) people in-front of him. "All the way from high school" One of the many survivors replied. "Alright then, when I was in high school I wanted to be cool so I tried out for the football team but was cut immediately, then I tried the basketball team, didn't even take a look. I had below average grades" Dwight said as he stared into the fire not wanting to see the looks at the others knowing they would be laughing. "On a weekend I went on a team-building exercise with my job, my boss led us deep into the woods before giving us some of his family moonshine, all I remember is taking one sip before waking up the next morning all alone." Dwight said with while looking up with tears coming down his eyes. "The others abandoned me, They fucking abandoned me!" Dwight yell with hate in his voice as his face started turning red. "I was a laughing stock of the community which is no different here." Dwight said staring at the others "but I tried hiking back. But that's when I got here." As Dwight finished his story he got up ready to leave before they started laughing but he heard someone speak up "Jesus man we are sorry for making fun of you, we didn't know you were that hurt" Jake spoke up while smiling at him, Jake started my walking up to Dwight and decided to hug him. That was the moment Dwight knew they were being serious.
