The screaming canister's energy seemed to never want to end and I decided I would do something about this before anyone got hurt. Quickly I spread my wings and flew up into the air as I guessed the trajectory of the flying object. Getting into its way I heard a couple gasps and shrieks before I grabbed a hold of the canister in my own two claws. It jerked me through the air a little until it slammed me down into the ground and pushed me until I laid in the circle of light right between a mortified Sullivan and Mike.

The canister let out a small squeak as the last of the scream inside escaped. "Koda!" I heard Sully call out as he and Mike came over and kneeled at my sides. "I'm fine I'm fine," I waved them off. I sat up and winced at the dull pain in my abdomen, that's definitely going to bruise later. "This canister definitely isn't though," I said and held it up in front of me just before it burst open and both sides of the canister were barely hanging on by its coils. The sounds of small screws and parts rolling around the floor was soon overturned by the loud thud of Dean Hardscrabble landing right in front of me. She emerged from the shadows right outside the circle of light that illuminated the three of us.

She tucked her scaly wings back behind her and crawled over, hands behind her back and her head downturned as she stared at the canister in my hand. I could hear Mike an Sully's breath hitch from my sides and I hand the canister out to Dean Hardscrabble. Mike and Sully's eyes were practically bulging out of their heads in fear as she gently grabbed it out of my hands and glanced at it. "Are you alright Mr. Mothman?" She asked as she glanced me over for any injuries.
"I'm alright don't worry about it," I tried easing her worries and subtly trying to downplay the whole situation for Mike and Sully's sake. But obviously I failed at that when I stood up and put a hand on my abdomen as I let out a wince. "Someone help him to the infirmary," Dean Hardscrabble said to no one in particular. Johnny rushed down the steps and wrapped my arms around his shoulder so he could help carry my weight. And definitely didn't pass up the opportunity to throw a glare at Sullivan as he helped me get up the stairs.

I looked back to see Dean Hardscrabble walk past the two troublemakers, canister in hand. Everyone waited with baited breath for whatever she was going to say or whatever punishment she decided to deal out to the two. I stopped Johnny as we got to the row we were sitting at earlier, wanting to see how this played out. "I'm so sorry," "It was an accident," Mike and Sully stammered, looking at Hardscrabble with guilty faces. "What?" She turned around and faced the two, "My one souvenir from a lifetime of scaring? Accidents happen, the important thing is that no one was killed," She glanced up at me before setting the canister on the floor. "You're taking this remarkably well..." Mike said with a surprised expression on his face.

"Now, let's continue the exams," she walked over to Mike, "Mr. Wazowski, I'm a five year old girl on a farm in Kansas afraid of lightning, which scare do you use?" She asked him. "Koda we should go, you already took your test there's no reason to be here," Johnny urged. I thought about it for a second before saying, "Yeah you're right, but I don't really think that hurt so maybe we should just go back home," I then got up from the chair I was leaning on and let Johnny drag me outside. "Don't worry Koda, I'll let you know what happened later," Chet whispered. I gave him a thumbs up before the door fully closed behind me.

"Are you sure you're ok?" Johnny asked worriedly as we continued to walk towards the main building. "Yeah, just a little a little sore in my abdomen from when I caught the canister but otherwise I'm fine," I replied trying to ease his nerves. Johnny walked us over to the nearest parking lot where his car was and took us back.

"So, what are you going to do for Christmas break?" Johnny asked as he parked on the curb. I had to think about it for a second, I don't really have any plans, my parents are off traveling the world so it's not like I'm going to go visit them. "I don't really have a plan," I said as I got out of the car. "Really? No visiting family or nothing?" Johnny asked as he rounded the car and pulled my arm over his shoulder once more. I blushed a bit at our closeness since I didn't really need this much help. "Maybe we can spend it together, we have to do the scare games later anyways so I suppose there's not that much time to see family if they live far away," Johnny spoke as he opened up the front door for me once we got up the front steps. That really caught my attention, I had completely forgotten about the Scare games to be honest. "Oh you're right, am I going to be playing?" I asked as I basked in the cool air conditioning inside the house. "Yes of course, you're part of our team don't be ridiculous," Johnny rolled his eyes and nudged my shoulder a bit, "Anyways, you go sit down and rest up for a bit, I'll get you some ice and pain meds for your stomach."

I decided to listen to Johnny and went and sat down on the couch in the living room. I let out a sigh and ran a claw through the fur on top of my head before grabbing the remote to see what channels we had on this tv. I decided to just open up hulu and to my surprise there was a profile already made for me. I set it up and just settled for Hell's Kitchen until Johnny came around with all the stuff he was going to bring.

A few minutes later Johnny walked into the living room and sat next to me with an ice pack and glass of cold water along with some pain medications. "Thanks I don't know what I'd do without you," I said as I grabbed everything out of his hands. Johnny let out a long sigh, "No problem," I said. After a couple of minutes of sitting I could feel his head leaning onto m shoulder, I stayed quiet and held the ice pack into my abdomen as we both watched the show I put on. It wasn't very often that we had somber little moments like this to just enjoy each other's company without worrying about the others. Although, we've only really been talking for this semester. We sat there for a while before we could both hear someone's car pulling up outside and the voices of multiple people right outside the door. Johnny say upright again and I decided to head into the kitchen and throw this ice pack back into the freezer since it was practically all water already. Soon enough I heard the front door open and the voices of everyone else trickling in.

"Yo Koda you good?" I heard Javier ask as he walked into the living room, "That canister really flung you around y'know?"
"Yeah," I chuckled, "I think I'll live though,"
Johnny chuckled and patted my shoulder, "This big guy? He'll be fine."
Javier walked over to me and sat right next to me on the couch, "you should let us see, I bet you could see the bruising under your fur already."
I shook my head knowing that my fur is a little too thick to see, "I don't think that'll work, plus I'd rather just leave it."

"You think you're going back to se you're results?" Chet asked.
"Yeah probably, if I didn't the suspense would kill me," I laughed as I got up from my spot on the couch.
"Where are you going?" Johnny asked.
"Just gonna go freshen up a bit before I go check on my results," I answered and headed towards the stairs.
Johnny then rushed over saying that he was going to help me up the stairs and threw my arm over my shoulder and an arm around my waist. I blushed a little out of embarrassment since I wasn't used to being fussed over especially in-front of people. But Johnny just helped me up nevertheless despite the hushed giggles that came from the guys on the couch. Whats up with them?

We made it to my door and Johnny let go of me as he held he doo open for me. I walked in and so did he, shutting the door behind us both making me raise a brow. "Let me see," He said in a serious tone as he turned around.
"What?" I was a little confused.
Johnny just rolled his eyes and shoved me backwards forcing me to stumble and sit on my bed. I opened my eyes as I realized I wasn't sprawled out on the floor and my breath got caught in my throat. Johnny was suddenly down on a knee in front of me as he brought his hands forwards to open up my jacket.
"Let me see the damage.." Johnny muttered mostly to himself.
I've literally stopped breathing at this point. He ran his fingers through my fur as he tried to feel for any bruising or bumps making me squirm. "Stay still," he grumbled as he held my sides harshly whilst glaring up at me.
"Sorry," I muttered out and looked off to the side while bringing up a hand to cover the lower part of my face.

Johnny just kept on checking me over, his hands going a little lower than I was expecting and I quickly shoved him away. He fell on his ass clearly not happy about being shoved, "what's wrong?" He asked.
"N-nothing, I'm fine there's no need to fuss," I got up and walked towards the a/c control in my room and turned it down. I hear a chuckle coming from Johnny and turn around to see a smirk on his face.
"You ass," I groaned, now knowing he did it on purpose.
He rolled his eyes at me, " You love me," he joked.
I only rolled my eyes at him and smoothed out my jacket.

"You want me to go with you?" Johnny asked as he got himself up off my floor.
"Sure, kinda feel like getting some fast food too," I grabbed my keys up off my bed along with my phone, and headed out my door.

Johnny followed after me and we both headed down the stairs.
"You guys gonna go now?" Chet asked.
"Yeah, might go pick up some takeout too, you guys want anything?" I asked as I kept walking towards the door.
I heard multiple responses and Johnny just told them to text him their order to make things easier.
