Chapter 28: Perfect Harmony

I got up and got dressed the question bubbling and brewing in my enter workings of my brain. J went down stairs to see my grandma, but my grandpa was nowhere to be seen. "Grandma?" I said walking down. "Where's grandpa?" I asked. "Oh who knows anymore" she responded sourly. I thought that this was very odd but I ignored it.

I grabbed a piece of toast said goodbye to grandma and ran. I ran so fast sonic the hedgehog would be jealous. Julie had wanted me to meet her at her house to tell me something. When I arrived I knocked loudly on the door. Julie answered it and without a word pulled me in. "Okay so basically- " she started saying until I cut her off. "A hi would be nice" I said bluntly. She looked at me annoyed. "Hi" she said. "Anyways do you remember when we sang at that weird place?" She asked. "Which one?" I asked. "The one where we sang Finally Free" she answered. "Oooh ya I do" I replied. "Well you don't know this but after the performance when you went to go hang out with your grandparents-" yet again I cut her off. "You were about to get the offer of a life time but your dad caught you ya I know it" I said. "Oh ya well basically my dad felt really bad about it so now we have a performance here tonight yay!" She said holding up her hands to do jazz hands.

"Oh my goodness!!! Yay!" I shrieked. After she told me she grabbed her bag and we both started to walk to school. We met up with Flynn in the cafeteria then said good bye. I went to my locker to get my books. I was so focused I jumped when I heard a voice speak next to me. "Hey!" I gasped and almost fell over. But when I looked I just saw Luke. "You know normal people don't do that" I said giggling. "And ghosts definitely shouldn't, no offense" I say trying to make it sound nicer.

"What are you even doing here?" I asked him. "We need to talk about what sing we're gonna play tonight" he said. "I was thinking great" he gave a suggestion. I notice people start looking at me so I grabbed my phone and pretended to pick up. "You're going to take a call while we're talking?" Luke asked sarcasticly gasping. "Do you know how ride that is?" He asked. But before he could finish that thought I interrupted. "Hi thanks for calling or else people might think I'm talking to myself" I said raising my eyebrows.

"Ooooh right I knew that nice" he said. "I think that great is a great choice" I said agreeing with him. "Sweet! Well thats really all I wanted to talk about. So . . . " he left a great pause thinking I guess. "Jaden's heading this way I got to go bye!" I said into the phone pretending to hang up. "Hey!" Jaden said as he walked right next to Luke. "Well don't you look sharp" I said looking at him wearing all black.

"You ready for our big performance?" He asked Luke starting to mock him. "Oh ya ya we're gonna do great" I said still watching Luke being Luke. I'm glad your confident, even after three classes I think I somehow got worse" he says chuckling slightly. "Good thing I have my secret weapon" he says looking up at me. "Awww someone has a crush on Y/n!" Luke said in a baby voice.

"Shut up" I say meaning for it to be for Luke. "Um I didn't say anything" Jaden said staring with a confused expression. "Umm shut up!" I say trying to make it sound like a more meaningful thing. "No seriously Y/l/n I-I'm nothing without you" she said chuckling nervously. "Pfft no no you're gonna do fine" I said shutting him a little. "See you in there!" He calls out before leaving. Luke still mocking every action he makes.

"Awe well he is just to cute!!" Luke said sarcastically. "Boundaries" I say simply. "I will see you after school" I say walking off. "I guess will have to carry you tonight just like we always do" Luke called from behind. "I know your smiling" he guessed. "Kill it on the dance floor" he said incouragingly.

1st and 2nd period flew by and before I knew it, it was 3rd period. In other words dance class which means I have to dance with Jaden. I waited at the door for Julie and Flynn. When they came in we all three split up to find our dance partners. Julie of course was dancing with Nick. And I honestly have no clue who Flynn is dancing with. Some friend I am.
