Chapter 25

We walked down stairs and all the guys were watching us.

"What took you guys so long?" Nash asked wiggling his eyebrows up and down.

"Dude, I walked in on them making out!!" Taylor said laughing. I looked at him like I was going to kill him.

I hear someone get up and see Cameron walking over to Hayes. I push Cam back and said, "We were not making out. Just talking. That's it. No need to get your granny panties in a bunch." I said laughing at the last part.

His face softened and then looked hurt.
"Heyyyy. I don't wear granny panties. I wear big boy undies." He said proud. I rolled my eyes and smiled.

"What ever you say Granny." I said walking away. All the boys laughed.

I walk into the kitchen and open the fridge door. I grab the strawberries and place the on the island. I grab a knife and a bowl and start cuttings some strawberries.

As I'm cutting the strawberries, Hayes comes in and stands across from me.

"What you cutting?" He asked. Showing him a strawberry making the 'duh' face, he says, "Oh." He then leans over the counter and opens his mouth signaling me to put one in his mouth.

I roll my eyes, cut the stem off, and stick it in his mouth. He smile while chewing it. I stuck my tongue out at him making him do it back.

After cutting my strawberries, I put everything up and walked to the living room. Sitting down in my chair, I grabbed a strawberry and put it in my mouth.

I look and see all the boys looking at me.

"What? Can I not eat my strawberries in peace?" I asked. They looked at each other and shook their heads no. I rolled my eyes and got up walking to the back door.

"Where you going?" Nash asked. I opened the door and said, "Somewhere I can eat my strawberries in peace."

I walked over to the pool and stuck my feet in the water. I start eating my strawberries again when someone comes and sits next to me.

"Ugh!" I said aggravated thinking it's one of the older boys.

"Fine, I guess you don't want me to sit with you. I'll leave." I look over and see Hayes.

"Oh. Sorry. I thought you were one of the other boys. But you can stay." I said laughing.

He grabbed another one of my strawberries. I look at him with puppy eyes. "Heyyyy." I said. He looked at me and smiled saying,"Hi." I laughed and slightly hit his arm. We both laughed at that.

"I'm sorry for what happened back there. You know on your balcony." He said rubbing the back of his neck.

"Oh. That. It's okay. So um, were you actually gonna kiss me if Taylor didn't, you know, barge in?" I asked.

He bit his lip looking down blushing. He nodded his head yes making me blush.

"I like you, Meggan." He said looking into my eyes.

"I like you too Hayes. You're a great friend." I said smiling. He chuckles.

"You and you're little innocent mind. I mean, I really really like you. More than a friend." He said rubbing his neck again during the last part.

"Oh." I said looking at the pool.

"Yeah." He said looking at the pool too.
