The warm, steamy water dribbled down Giada's whole entire body frame, the dirt and the blood mingling together as it slid down the drain. It appeared to soothe her aching head along with all of her dark thoughts, for the time being of course. She knew she's finally going to feel clean, that lingering stench of dried blood no longer following her around every single place she went. There were showers back in the Glade, but they weren't nearly as luxurious as this. It made her feel a little jealous. All of them spent a good while being trapped inside of that stupid maze whilst there's people outside those walls that were living remarkably better than them. She placed her hands onto the steamy wall, just silently relishing in the feeling. For the first time in a very long time, her back and muscles weren't aching every five seconds.
So many things had changed in such a short time period, making everything feel like this huge daze. Just yesterday, Giada still had been trapped inside of the Glade with no hope of escaping. She'd feared she would have to spend the rest of her life stuck in there. Honestly, Giada knew deep down that wasn't going to work for her, being stuck and trapped. If they couldn't escape, she would've taken her own way out just to escape. As sad as it was to admit. But now that they're actually out in the real world, based on what Giada's seen so far, she's uncertain if being out of there is generally better. When that aircraft got them out of there, the whole world outside of the maze was a huge sand desert, no sign of grass anywhere. It all appeared, warm, dry, and depressing. Not to mention that just before they got into this facility, they were all chased by these half dead, half alive creatures. She assumed those where the products of that disease called the Flare virus, which was what that old woman had mentioned in the video. It seemed like no place was truly safe in this world anymore.
Giada blinked the water off of her eyelashes before turning her shower off. The dread of what was potentially to come filled her chest as she wrapped a random blue towel around herself. That'd been the best shower the ginger haired woman had in quite some time; she was almost upset that it was over. Every time she showered back in the Glade, Giada always had to make sure no one was watching her or waiting to jump and scare her the minute she walked out. That happened a couple of times within the first two weeks of her being there, so Giada always held her guard up ever since. The funny thing was that the prosecutors magically disappeared after that. She wondered what happened to them, but at the same time, Giada honestly didn't care to know either.
