THE BLACK HAIRED GIRL HESITATED for a second, before sitting down next to Lily, who still refused to look at her. The feeling of being interested in somebody's emotions wasn't a familiar one, and she wasn't used to interact with people without violence. She cleared her throat silently, before opening her mouth to speak:

"I am aware that we are not the types to usually talk to each other, but I—"
Loomes quietly sobbed and interrupted Addams, who tried to open up to a conversation.

"If you are so aware, then why are you even trying?"
Lily asked with a shaky voice, but still refused to look up at Wednesday.

"Because I seem to have found interests in the actions you connect to your feelings."
The goth paused, inhaled deeply, and continued:
"And after you ran out from the greenhouse, I couldn't resist to wonder what made you chose to escape."

"So that's why you came here? To question my feelings?"
Wednesday nodded at the girl's answer.

"Exactly."

A quiet sob escaped Loome's mouth as she exclaimed:
"So first, you come in here to scare away my best friend, and now you're going to use my feelings as if they were your special interests?"

"That is not what I meant."
Wednesday rolled her eyes, and rested her hand next to her on the bed.

"Then what do you mean, Addams?"
Lily finally looked up at her roommate, with mascara running down her cheeks.

It might be stupid to cry over "accidentally talking in class" but for the blonde it was so much more than that. She knew that someday, people are going to use it against her in some way, since no one ever would hear her talk. And this is exactly why she doesn't want anyone to hear her voice.

"What I meant was that I want you to talk to me about whatever running through your mind right now. I want to listen."

In all of a sudden, Lily felt warmth going through her body. She didn't know why, people had always been there for her when she needed them, but not in this way. Or, maybe in this way but something seemed to be special about Wednesday's way of showing concern. The blonde got up from her resting position to sit up straight.

"Basically, I ran out of the greenhouse because people are not used to hearing me talk. And when you spoke to me, making me answer, everyone just— stared. In a not-so-lovely way. If there even is a lovely way of staring. I don't know. And yeah, I get it, stupid of me to cry over something so small, but it's really the worst thing I know, that people know things about me that they shouldn't."

The goth nodded slowly, to show that she was listening and taking all of the blonde's words in. After a moment, she decided to say something.

"What makes you think that people will find out things about you by hearing you talk?"
Lily hid her face in her hands, stifleing her sobs.

"People always search for things to use against me. I am not the most liked student here."

"Why is that so?"
The goth questioned, honestly curious about why anyone would dislike Lily for no reason. She didn't wear any colour, her room wasn't filled with stuffed animals, and she probably didn't listen to soul sucking music— soul sucking in a not so good way.

"Because I seem to be different, the absentee from the others. I love books, I love music, I pass every exam but I never, EVER speak. I don't know why people doesn't like that, but I guess people like nothing."

Lily took a short pause to gather herself, before continuing:
"And about that rumor you've heard. I am a witch, yes. But I do not sacrifice people to the devil. I would never do such a thing. But just because I am unusual, odd, I don't even know, people like to talk about me, whether it's true or not."

Wednesday nodded slightly.
"You are kind of right to be alone. I didn't know that people could feel bad about it though. And about people talking, let them talk. It's their problem, not yours."

Lily looked over at Wednesday, smiling to herself. Wise but simple words. Enid would never dare to comfort her with such distasteful energy. She would probably cry with her. But the fact that Wednesday is governed by her will and not her feelings, makes her more interesting.

"Yup, guess so."

"Feeling better? You cried before."
The goth asked, and met the blonde's gaze.
Loomes nodded, and used her palm to wipe away her tears, before standing up.

"Thank you, Wednesday. I appreciate your consideration."

"You're Welcome, Lily."
