Ethan trialled behind Paige as the winded through town, following her all the way to her house; he wanted to make sure she got back okay. When they arrived, she pulled into the drive way and he parked on the street.

Clumsily, Ethan jumped out of his car to run across the yard, hurtling over the hedge just to open the drivers side down for her. He smiled at her and she smiled brightly back.

"Thanks for coming tonight," she said jumping out of the car and moving to the back door to grab her bow and arrows. "Even if I didn't need your help." Ethan grabbed a black duffel bag full of what he assumed were arrows from her and slung it over his shoulders.

"That was nothing," he said with a goofy smile on his face. "I just needed to make sure you came home in one piece." They walked through her back yard to the back door which lead into the kitchen. Paige placed all her things onto the table and Ethan mimicked her.

"Would you like something to drink?" Paige asked opening a cabinet above the sink and pulling down two glass cups.

"Sure," Ethan responded. Paige began filling up the glasses at the sink with cold water. They were silent for a minute as the both took a couple swallows.

"Paige," Ethan said finally breaking the silence, "who was that man?"
Paige hesitated to answer him. If she told him about Hayden, she would have to explain so much more about herself and her family. She would have to tell him her deepest darkest secrets.

"His name," she said after finishing her drink, "is Hayden." She was slightly hoping that that was all Ethan would ask, but she knew him so much better than that.

"What was he?" Ethan whispered.

"Honestly, I don't know."
