Chapter one : the rise of a king and a fall of a queen

When news struck the ears of the Velaryons only one grieved the hardest and that was the youngest of them all at only 8 name days old Lunarys lost her only friend in the red keep.

Sweet Aemma Targaryen once Arryn she was devastated by her death before she was pregnant Aemma would sing Lunarys lullabies to calm her she was all alone with her parents or siblings

So when it was time for Rhaenyra to burn the bodies of her own mother and brother who died after the birth, her cousin King Viserys was distraught not saying like his tongue was chopped off and at least there

Was one thing he can do right was to shut up lunarys thought he didn't deserve to grieve after all it was his fault aemma was gone leaving rhaenyra and her alone

(Time skip after the funeral on the boat going home)

Lunarys was quiet since the funeral she was just sitting in her chambers looking not eating and drinking only numb to things and people around her parents especially worried since this is the first time she has been like this

When they finally docked and she came out it was not the same little girl she was before the tourney

"Lunarys, my daughter are you alright you look pale," Rhaenys said worried for her youngest she was what the king's council said was to be a miracle due to her being after her mother's child baring days both of them were lucky to be alive
" Yes mama, May I please be excused to my chambers," lunarys said not looking her mother in the eye " Yes-" Before Rhaenys could finish her sentence Lunarys ran to her chambers not wanting to be in the eyes of people any longer

"Corlys I am worried for her, our daughter loved Aemma as she loves me. I'm afraid she may go mad one day if we do not console her at this moment" Rhaenys is terrified her daughter will be lost in grief but Corlys not so much all he would say was " Unless we want our daughter to be soft we let her feel this it could her "

"Fine my husband but I need her to eat, she hasn't eaten since the funeral " with that Rhaenys left her husband to check on her daughter afraid she would starve herself to death far too young

(In Lady Lunarys chamber's)

"My little siren are you awake," Rhaenys said slowly moving towards her daughter's bed, but when she reached it she wasn't even there with a glance she saw in her mirror Lunarys in her drawing room ( small author breakthrough Luna has dragon dreams aka visions which I have failed to mention anyway on with the book) she walks up to the connected doorway to where she is close enough to see what new paintings her daughter has made and if it could help with future plans

But what shocks her to her core is to see her dragon meleys alongside Lunarys's dragon balerion II who seems to be fighting Vhagar and a golden dragon from there she sees more the king dead in his bed, laena and Laenor's death, and Lunarys giving birth to a black and white-haired baby girl without making a sound she rushed to her daughter who is lost in her own world as rhaenys muttered in her ear "little siren, do you know of  the origin behind your paintings" when a low murmur escaped her lips " No, I only paint them" unsure with that answer rhaenys stood and replied to that with another question "But, are you alright. I know aemma and you were very close an-" but she was cut off with lunarys saying "I think so, I don't know if I'm allowed to be sad about her death" "And why is that my sweet girl" "She was rhaenyra's mother, not mine" " But  did aemma make you feel like you weren't her daughter, no she loved you she treated you you were birthed from her womb, you are allowed to feel sad about her, but for now lets get you something to eat and readied for bed, ok" "Ok"
