Waiting around the corner, I look in my small makeup compartment mirror. Keeping an eye on my target. He's leaning on the wall outside of a building, talking to a young girl. A blonde with blue tips, 5'2, petite. I'd say she's around 23 years, possibly 24. The man slides a wad of cash into her purse then kissed her on the cheek before walking in my direction. I close the mirror and put it in my back pocket before putting on my brass knuckle rings. As he gets closer, I get in my stance, ready to attack any second. Just as he turns the corner into the dark alleyway that I'm in, I elbow him hard in the gut before hitting him with an uppercut to the jaw, all in which caused him to fall flat on the ground.

"Come on now, I figured you would've been more of a challenge." I say kneeling down to look him in the face. "Ouch you might wanna put some ice on that" smiling, I inject a serum into his neck to make him lose consciousness. Taking out my phone I text my boss that the job is done, just need someone to come get him. I stand up and look at the man - frowning, I shake my head. Really thought he would've made it more fun.

The numbers on the keypad beep as I punch in the code to enter the basement. Unlike the rest of the house, which looks normal, the basement is more lit up with concrete walls and floors. This place is built like a fortress. Once you put in the code for the first door you have to have a fingerprint to fully unlock that door; and once you get passed that door there's another one that uses a harmless laser to scan your eye and then you have to use a badge to fully unlock that door but after all of that you're home free. When you first walk in there are rows of desks with computers and people at them. There are two combat rooms that are used as training facilities and a whole wall opposite of them that hold weapons of all kinds. This place has been in the family for generations. Every person in the family has lived their lives as a bounty hunter ever since the late 1800's when my great great grandmother had met my great great grandfather on a mission that they were both assigned to. Of course, with it being the late 1800's she had to disguise herself because women weren't supposed to do such "horrible" things.

"Hey Mel, are they busy?" I ask, looking at the secretary sitting at her desk that's outside my parent's joined office. "No, they are waiting for you, go right in." She says with a smile before returning back to her work on the computer. I walk through the office doors and see my dad at his desk and my mom leaning against it facing him. They were probably having a good conversation giving the fact that they are both smiling and laughing. I smile for a split second before remembering that I stopped by for a serious discussion regarding my next assignment.

I knock on the door to their office and wait for them to invite me in. They turn towards me and put on their business faces then nod giving me the okay to enter. I walk to the front of my father's desk and stand there waiting for the okay to speak. I know it may be weird for a child to wait for permission to speak to their parents and all, but I promise that it's not like this outside of work.

"Audrina, there you are." My father says in a bland voice. I then set my file from the last mission I completed on his desk then return my hands behind my back.

"Fergusion has been turned in just like the mission said to do." I stare at my father, matching his expression.

"Very well then." My father slightly nods his head and looks over at my mother.  Out of the corner of my eye I see her take the file I placed down and replace it with another. "This is your next assignment." My father says gesturing towards the file. I step forward and pick it up, opening it to read the details inside.

" Your target is Gabriel Romano; you are to locate him and deliver him to a warehouse in the upper east valley." My mother says as she puts my old assignment file in the file holder. "There are more instructions in the file along with more information on Romano, that you will need to know, as well as his most visited places."

"Got it," I say skimming through the pages "anything else I should know that might not be in this file?" Looking up at my parents, they both turn to look at each other as if they are having their own conversation without any words being spoken.

"Well," My father says looking back at me and leaning forward, locking his hand together. "he is rumored to have a soft spot for his mother, which in the paperwork, it says that she had died when he was a baby." I nod at the information given and close the file. "We want you to use that  to your advantage." My mother adds to the statement. I give one last nod and tuck the file under my arm.

"Got it."
