Facing Fears

It was a sunny day and ash, serena, pikachu, pip, togepi, clemont and bonnie were heading to a next city but as they were walking, clemont started to feel they were lost as the woods they were in felt like they were going on forever and bonnie felt the same as she looked annoyed
"ugh! are we there yet?!" bonnie complained as she had a annoyed face
"i was wondering the same thing, these woods seem to go on forever" clemont adds as he looks around the trees
"don't worry, i just send talonflame out and see if he can find the way" ash says and he throws a pokeball which made talonflame come out
the scorching pokemon flies up passed the trees and when he reaches the top, he looks around to see if he can find the exit and after looking for a few seconds, he see there was no exit in sight so he flies around to see if he could find one, he comes back a few minutes later to ash and the others and points to the north west of where they were standing
"ok, we will go that way! thanks talonflame!" ash says happily and he starts walking after recalling talonflame
the group follow ash and as they were walking, pip who was next to pikachu started to feel something was off so she started to slow down, pikachu was the only one who notice pip had stopped and went over to her looking confused
"pi, pikachu?" 'pip, what's wrong?' pikachu asks with a confused look and a tilted head
"pikachu, pika...pi" 'i don't know, something...off' pip replies looking worried
"pikachu, pi pika pi pi" 'don't worry, i'm here for you' pikachu says and he holds out his paw
pip looks at pikachu and she smiles then takes pikachu's paw into her own paw, the pair walked together holding paws and they almost caught up to ash and serena when suddenly out of the bushes, some pokemon appeared looking angry, the pokemon were 2 ekans, 2 arbok and in the middle was a giant seviper with loads of scars on its face and body, the snake pokemon hissed at the pair and this make pikachu jump back and his cheeks sparked with electricity, he then notice pip didn't move so he looked over at her and sees that she was stunned with fear like she was frozen from a ice pokemon
"pi?" 'pip?' pikachu asks as he was concerned as he looks at her face
the snake pokemon hissed again and this made pip scream in fear, she then bolts off to the left and the scream caught the attention of the kids
"pip!" serena says seeing pip bolt off and the snake pokemon following her
"pikachu, go find pip!" ash says to pikachu and pikachu nods to ash
pikachu also goes into the bushes and he runs on all fours to run as fast as possible while the kids were a few feet buying him, meanwhile a few feet away in the bushes and team rocket were trying to follow the kids but they lost them and also are lost in the woods
"ugh! why did we have to ditch the balloon, it would be so much easier to get though the woods with it!" jessie complains as she drags herself behind from meowth and james
"because, we would of lost the twerps if we used the balloon, we told you dis about 3 mintues ago!" meowth replies sounding and looking annoyed
"can we take a break? my feet are sore from all this walking" james says feeling tired as they had been walking for a long time
meowth was about to complain to james when he hears a noise making his ear twitch, he turns to the noise which makes jessie and james confused and as they were about to ask meowth what was the matter, pip suddenly appear from the bushes from the left and went into the bushes and trees to the right of the trio
"wasn't that the twerpette's pikachu?" jessie asks looking confused on what she saw
"i tink so" meowth replies back also looking confused
another russelling was heard from the bushes on the left and then a group of snake pokémon appear making the trio surprised, then pikachu came out of the bushes behind the snake pokemon and zoomed past them going into the right bushes, the snake pokémon sees him and slither after him, jessie, james and meowth were still stunned while looking at where the 2 pikachus and the snake pokémonn went and were confused on what just happened, pikachu ran as fast as he could till he could see pip in front of him, he ran over to her and ran next to her
'p-pip, follow me!' pikachu says and he goes to the left
pip follows him and they end up hiding under a tree and see the snake pokémon go right passed them losing them
'*pant* *pant* that was close' pikachu says recovering from his big run 'are you okay?' he asks pip and she was still looked scared
pikachu looks at pip trying to think on why the snake pokemon would scare her so much then he remembered on what she told him on the first day they met about snake pokemon killing her auntie and uncle which caused her to bolt off and find him, togepi and the others
'i guess the snake pokemon gave you past trauma about what happened a while ago, didn't it?' pikachu says to pip and pip looks down and nods
'i didn't think it would but it did, i-it was just so sudden from my auntie and uncle being there telling me to evolve into a raichu and then the next thing i knew, they were taken away by snake pokemon, never even got to say goodbye to them like i couldn't with my parents' pip explains sadly and pikachu looked sad too as he listens to her
'i don't think you told me about what happened to your parents for your aunt and uncle to adopt you' pikachu says as he thought about the talks him and pip have had over the few months he has known her
'didn't i?...hmm...i guess i didn't' pip says realising and she sighs as she rethinks the story while pikachu looked curious
'when i was a baby, my parents loved me like most parents do, my dad taught me all the moves i know now and my mom taught me how to be kind, caring, understanding and many other, i adored my parents and now, i wish you could of met them, my dad would of been so impressed by you' pip says and pikachu smiles at her making her smile back 'anyway, one day, me, my parents and some other pikachus and pichus were exploring for berries as we were running low, we had gathered loads of berries when everyone hears something alarming so we started running, me and my parents were almost at the hideout when my mom tripped and my dad went back to get her, i tried to stop too but my uncle grabbed me and ran back to the hideout, i tried to break free but his hold on me was too strong but after that day, i never saw my parents again, my aunt and uncle told me later on that they were captured by humans and i was lucky that my uncle grabbed me or i would of gotten taken away too, sometimes i wish i went with them when i was living with my aunt and uncle or even live with my grandparents as they treated me like i wasn't perfect' she explains and it went quiet when she done talking
pikachu didn't know what to say, he felt so bad for pip losing her parents to humans and then being raised by a aunt and uncle who want her to be 'perfect', he didn't really have bio parents as he was partly raised by a kangaskhan then he went on his own for a bit till he was captured and given to ash who he kinda regrets hating at first, he then had a thought and looks at pip
'do you know what kind of humans took your parents?' pikachu asks and pip went to think
'umm...i think my aunt said it was either trainers or poachers' pip says trying to think but she can't really remember as her aunt told her a while ago when she was still a pichu
'...if they were captured by trainers, maybe in our travels, we might meet them again' pikachu says in a reassuring tone and pip looks at pikachu as he spoke then smiles a little
pip lights up a little thinking of the idea that her parents being out there with a trainer and she was about to say something but suddenly a purple tail comes out of nowhere and grabs pip making her yelp
'pip!' pikachu shouts in worry and electricity comes out of his cheeks as he looks up to see pip being hold by the tail by a arbok
pikachu let's of a thunderbolt attack hitting the arbok and it yells as pip fell out, pikachu catched her and then they quickly ran off while the arbok was stunned, the pair run out of the hole in the tree and try to head back to where ash, serena and the others were but then were stopped by 2 ekans, the seviper and one of the arboks appear surrounding the pair and pip was starting to get a panic attack as she was breathing fast, pikachu looks at pip in concern as pip had fallen to the floor in fear still having the panic attack.
the snake pokemon were slithering closer to the pair and pikachu decided this was enough, he let out a big thunderbolt attack and all the snake pokémon fall down and sparks of electrify were sparking off of then showing that they became paralysed, pip looks up at pikachu who looked angry and she had stars in her eyes in amazement, she then felt a warm feeling on her face and she realised that she was crushing on pikachu and this made her blush more as she tries to cover her face but forgot she had tiny paws
'pip, are you okay?' pikachu says as he holds out his paw to help pip up
'i uhh...y-yeah, i'm fine, are you okay?' pip says stirring as she stands up with the help of pikachu
"pikachu!" "pip!" "where are you?!" the kids shout and this makes pikachu and pip's ears purk up
'that ash, serena and the other, come on! let's go!' pikachu says taking pip's paw
pikachu drags pip with him and pip felt like a damsel in dretress being saved by her knight which made her blush and looked at pikachu with love in her eyes, pikachu and pip finally see ash, serena, togepi, clemont and bonnie and pikachu was happy to see ash while pip was happy to see serena
"pikachu! pip! i'm glad you two are okay!" ash says happily seeing his partner and his girlfriend's pikachu not hurt
"pika pi!" 'ash!' pikachu replies happily when jumping into ash's arms for the hug
pikachu jumps off ash to go next to pip after she was hugged by serena while bonnie was holding togepi, suddenly some russelling noises were heard and the snake pokemon came back, pikachu gets defensive and he leaps into the air to give off a thunderbolt attack but then the seviper whacks pikachu away with a poison tail, pikachu flies to the right and he lands on the floor after hitting a tree
"pikachu!" 'pikachu!" both ash and pip yelled and ash goes over to pikachu
pip looks over at pikachu in shock and then look at the snake pokémon as they were apporching her, she then looks back at pikachu and then get angry as she looks back at the snakes, she then starts running and as she ran, electricity came off her body, she then leaps and hits the seviper in the forehead causing the fang snake pokemon to fly back into the bushes
"wow! that was a volt tackle!" clemont says amazed on what happened
pip landed back down and sparks were coming out of her cheeks, she then let out a thunderbolt and it shocked all the other snake pokemon and then they bolted away in fear as they head back into the woods, pip watches them leave and then she realised what she did
"pi, pikachu!" 'pip, you did it!' pikachu says after he gets up and goes over to pip "pika pika pi pika pikachu!" 'you got over your fear of snake pokemon!" he adds and pip who still looked shocked started to smile as she was looking at pikachu
"pika, pika pi?" 'i did, didn't i?' pip says realising and she smile was getting wider and happier
pikachu takes pip's paws and he starts spinning pip around which made her laugh, he was laughing too and pair were super happy
"it's so cute to see them happy but...i don't know why" bonnie says as she looks up at her brother, ash and serena
"it sounds like from i heard from pikachu, pip got over her fear of snake pokemon" ash says with a grin as he looks at bonnie then at the 2 happy pikachus
"...oh yeah! i remember pikachu saying when we first met pip that her aunt and uncle were taken by snake pokemon so i can see that it would of cause her to have fear problems with snake pokemon" serena says and ash nods to agree with her "but it looks like now pip has gotten over that problem thanks to pikachu and is now happy to not have it anymore" she adds and this made bonnie smile widely
"wow! so brave!" bonnie says and she looks at clemont "i hope when i travel, i can be brave as pip" she adds and clemont smiles at her
"i'm sure you will be, now, shall we head off to a pokemon center?" clemont says and the others nod to agree with him
"come on, pikachu, let's go" ash says to pikachu which stopped pikachu and pip's spinning
pikachu jumps on ash's shoulder and pip went to serena's shoulder, bonnie had togepi who was asleep and clemomt was dragging behind as the group start to walk down the path to the pokemon center in the next town, meanwhile a few feet away and team rocket were sitting on the floor of the path wondering what just happened, they then see the group moving again and hide behind the bush to start following then without being spotted.
