Skye glanced at her friends as Lennox went over to her side, kneeling beside Sasha and picking up her wrist to feel her pulse.

"Her heart's racing. Sasha? Sweetie can you hear me?" There was no response, not even a finger twitch.

"We should call an ambulance." Caleb said quickly.

"Wait." Lennox looked at him, and he frowned.

"What for?"

"Something doesn't feel right." Her brows furrowed as she looked back at Sasha, gently opening one eye. It was bloodshot to the point of bruised.

"Come on Sasha, why won't she wake up?"

Skye had tears in her eyes as she looked to Lennox, who was busy scanning Sasha for anything obviously wrong with her. She didn't notice anything at first, but when her eyes landed on a dark patch of shirt just below her shoulder she lifted it to see why it was wet. Removing the fabric revealed fresh blood, leaking from the scratch she'd gotten from the thorn at the house.

A point so sharp it draws blood with ease.

That's what the note said. She stood up immediately. "Skye get away from her."

"What? Why?"

"She's bleeding from the thorn scratch, it's poison."

"Poison?" Caleb went to walk towards Sasha, but Lennox put her arm out to stop him, Skye pulling herself out from under Sasha's limp body.

"Lennox,"

"Don't."

"Lennox that's my sister!"

"The note says a point so sharp it draws blood with ease, the thorns must've poisoned her you can't touch her."

"The hell I can't."

"Not if you want to get hurt too!"
