Chiaki hummed as she tightened her tie. She couldn't help but be in a good mood. Louise threw an arm around Chiaki's shoulder. "Ready to go?" Chiaki grinned widely as she slipped out of Louise's grip. "Yeah!! I can't wait to get to school!!"
Chiaki intertwined her and Louise's fingers, holding tightly as she pulled the semi-aquatic girl behind her.
"Let's go!!"
Louise chuckled, a soft smile on her lips. Things had always been like this, her falling behind into Chiaki's protective shadow. She liked it, she liked being hidden behind the passionate yet strong girl in front of her.
Ever since they were kids, Chiaki had always been the one that shone brighter than the stars while Louise stayed in the dark, overshadowed. And she liked it. Louise didn't have to worry about being noticed by anyone. Chiaki was her shield, her protector, her Knight in shining armour.
As the two girls walked to school they drifted into a harmonious rhythm, their idle conversations mixing into one beautiful song, their footsteps providing a beat that their hearts seemed to match. Louise smiled as she watched Chiaki grin and wave excitedly to someone in the distance.
Chiaki ran ahead, leaving Louise without another word. Or maybe she had, but Louise was too wrapped up in her own world to notice. "She's still the same outgoing girl she was when we met..." Louise smiled fondly and slowed her pace, enjoying the memories that played through her mind.
--- With Chiaki ---
"Shimizu-kun!! Hey, Wait up! Let's walk to school together!" Chiaki sprinted up to Shimizu excitedly. Happy to see her new rival. Shimizu nodded silently, acknowledging Chiaki's presence without a word. Shimizu wasn't normally this quiet, but when it came to mornings, he preferred peace.
"So, what do you think we're doing today-" Chiaki stopped dead in her tracks and stared at a large crowd hoarding around the entrance of the school. It was written all over her face that something had her slightly shaken up. Shimizu followed her gaze to the crowd, where he searched for a small crack that would suffice for their escape from the reporters. He grabbed Chiaki's arm and started sprinting toward the small space.
They squeezed through the tight gap and pushed their way past the school gates. "Thanks, Shimizu... I didn't even notice that there was a way through the reporters.." Shimizu nodded, traces of worry still littering his dual-coloured eyes as they replayed the fearful look on Chiaki's face in his head. Shimizu shook it off as just anxiety and smiled slightly at her. "No problem Hanryoku."
The two heroes in training walked to their homeroom class together. Chiaki opened the door for her and Shimizu, following him to their seats.
"Good work with yesterday's battle training. I've looked over your grades and evaluations." Aizawa started. He turned toward a certain ash-blond. "Bakugou."
Bakugou's eyes widened and he sat up straighter, awaiting Aizawa's evaluation. "Grow up already." His eyes widened before he slouched back grumpily. "Stop wasting your talent." Bakugou grunted. "Got it..."
Aizawa's gaze shifted to behind Bakugou. "And... it seems Midoriya ended yet another day with a broken arm." Midoriya looked down, disappointed in himself. "But you have potential, assuming you can overcome this. Work at it Midoriya, I hate repeating myself." Midoriya nodded. "Okay!"
"Mio." Mio shifted uncomfortably under Aizawa's gaze. "Don't play nice with villains. If that was a real fight and not a mock, you would have been dead within seconds of entering the building."
"Yes sir..." Mio muttered quietly. He shrank back as far as he could into his chair. Aizawa's attention shifted to one final person. "Hanryoku. Your plan was good, yes, but stop over exerting yourself. If you can't move after using your quirk, you're a liability." Chiaki nodded. "Yes sir!!."
