Jason thought carefully about an answer before nodding. Whether she could hide it well or not, he knew she was vulnerable. The last thing he wanted to do was cause her to shut down by telling her what Will, his brother, had told him about Sasha's death. But he thought she should know the truth, and he respected her enough to be honest with her.

"Yeah. Massive clotting. She had embolisms, all over her body. They think one of them reached her heart on the way to the hospital, and before they could try and dissolve it another one reached her brain and hemorrhaged."

Lennox closed her eyes. That's all she felt able to do. Out of all the ways there were to die in this world, that had to have been the most painful. She died in pain. While she was doing her best to keep her composure he spoke.

"Officer Paul and I spoke to Caleb and Skye. What they said, their stories are actually the reason we brought you down to the station." At that Lennox opened her eyes. Caleb must've talked.

"Caleb told us that Sasha had been sick for the past few days, that you all thought it was the flu maybe. Then today she collapsed out of nowhere getting up to go and get some rest. Her breathing was shallow and fast, her heart was racing and you couldn't wake her up, but you didn't think the ambulance would get there fast enough so the three of you drove her to the hospital, where the doctor met you at the doors and took her into the ER."

He gave Lennox a minute to process the story. She was shocked, more than anything, that Caleb hadn't told them the truth.

"Skye said the same thing." He said slowly.
