Kuroka and I currently stood outside a dilapidated mansion in The Underworld, she had transported us here so that I could find proof of her innocence. I looked at her and she gave me a nod signaling she was ready to proceed, I walked up the front entrance and I tried to open the set of double doors. The doors wouldn't budge so I stepped back and I kicked them down using some of my strength, we entered the mansion and I stopped in the grand entryway.

I looked around at what used to be marvelous architecture, a double staircase lead up to a second floor which was now falling apart, the entryway had carved pillars which were cracked and seemingly ready to fall, the floor which must have been a beautiful pattern of red and black tile was now caked with dust and mold, the windows were cracked and broken, and the dark wooden doors which now lay on the floor had been covered with moss and were now splintered and cracked from me kicking them down.

I summoned a flashlight turning it on before I continued. As I walked further into the house I saw a few doors on the left and right sides of the room, I walked to the first door on the left and I turned the handle pushing it open, the door opened with a loud creaking sound, I walked inside and I now stood in what would have been a study. The large rug which must have been a brilliant red in color was now ripped and torn, the large wooden desk was covered in papers and dust, a wall of bookshelves which must have been very beautiful were now dilapidated and falling apart it's tomes now on the floor rotting from damage from the elements, the windows were broken and glass now lay on the floor, the chair which used to be made of a dark leather was now cracked and falling apart. I noticed that on the walls were candelabra each with a single candle. I walked over to one and just for a laugh I grabbed it and I was able to pull it down, I heard the sound of gears and moving parts, and suddenly the wall right next to it opened up revealing a set of stairs leading down towards what I assumed was the basement.

I looked at Kuroka who nodded once again before we continued onward. I walked down the stairs being careful as I went making sure to test each step before proceeding. Each step I took the stairs creaked and groaned, I finally reached the bottom and I was now standing in a laboratory. Chalkboards lined the walls still with mathematical formulas and diagrams still drawn upon them looking as if they were drawn just today, there were beakers and test tubes along with other equipment on tables throughout the lab, a large wall of cabinets contained chemicals and more lab equipment, I then noticed cages along another wall, I summoned a camera and I took pictures of everything, I looked around the room and under one of the tables I saw a book just peaking out from underneath. I picked it up and I brushed off the dust, I opened it and it was a journal of experiments. I flipped through it and I ended up coming upon the final entries of the journal which were about Kuroka and Koneko, I read through it and I was sickened by what I read. I closed the book and I nodded to Kuroka, she then transported us back to my home in New Berlin.

I unsummoned my flashlight and I suddenly smelt something amazing being cooked. I walked to the kitchen and I saw the woman I loved dressed in a very nice skirt and blouse, with an apron over it to not get her clothes dirty. She looked stunning. I walked over to my former employer who was now my loving girlfriend and I embraced her in a hug before giving her a kiss on the cheek.

"Wis war dein Tag, mein liebe shwarze Dahlie?" I said.
(How was your day, my darling black dahlia?)

"Für diejenigen, die kürzlich verstorben sind, war es nichts als langweiliger Papierkram, aber jetzt, wo ich zu Hause bin, scheint mein Tag besser zu sein, da ich deine Arme um mich gelegt habe." said Death.
(It was boring nothing but paperwork for those who recently passed, however now that I'm home it makes my day seem better now that I have your arms wrapped around me.)

"I'm sorry to interrupt, but you should contact Sirzechs Lucifer if possible so you can give him the evidence to prove my innocence." said Kuroka.

"You're right I'll contact Rias so she can contact her brother, and we can get this sorted out." I said.

"Thank you Major now I'll excuse myself, have a goodnight." said Kuroka.

"Goodnight Kuroka, sleep well." I said.

Kuroka than left leaving me and my wonderful girlfriend by ourselves. I gave her a kiss real quick before I unwrapped my arms from around her waist. I walked over to the phone and dialed the number that I had written down. The phone rang a few moments before Rias picked up.

Rias: Hello Major to what do I owe the pleasure of you calling me?

F/n: Hello Ms. Gremory I need to get into contact with your brother, it's important.

Rias: Oh well stop by tomorrow and we can have a meeting with him over afternoon tea, does that sound acceptable?

F/n: Yes that sounds lovely, I'll see you than.

Rias: What exactly is this about?

F/n: It will be talked over tomorrow, I have to get back to the kitchen Death is cooking something that smells amazing. Goodnight Ms. Gremory.

Rias: Oh goodnight.

I then hung up the phone before making my way over to the record player. I saw Erica laying on the couch so I walked over and I scratched behind her ears, she started to pant in content before giving my hand a kiss. I walked over to my collection of records and I picked a classical music record which Death had picked up when she was in America last week. I turned on the player and turned up the volume before putting the needle on the record.

I walked back over to the kitchen and I saw Death tapping her foot to the beat of the music. I walked up behind her and placed my hands on her hips and we began to sway to the music.

"You're too good to me love." she said as she placed her head on my shoulder listening to the music.

"It's because I love you and I treat the ones I love." I said as I placed a kiss on her cheek.

Death continued to cook dinner as her and I swayed to the music coming from the living room.

Once dinner was ready we said a prayer and proceeded to eat, Erica was sitting staring at my plate giving me the cutest puppy dog eyes. I sighed in defeat before I gave her a small bit of the Eisbein and she ate it gingerly. Dinner was soon finished and I helped clean the dishes.

"Darling, what's your ring size? I'm getting you a gift tomorrow." I said.

"Oh you don't have to do that, but if you must know it's a size six." she said.

(I'm sorry if this is so boring, but I thought it would be a good chapter idea for a filler chapter while I do research for another fanfiction. I also am not familiar with female ring sizes so if you could let me know if a six is to big please leave a comment.)

We soon went to bed after getting the dishes done.

=====================================

I currently sat before Rias and her brother with an envelope with the pictures and the journal sitting on the coffee table that sat between the two couches.

"Inside that envelope is proof of Kuroka the apparent Rouge Devils innocence. I've seen her masters lab with my own eyes, it's sickening what he did to both her and her sister. I want her Rouge status removed and for her to be placed under my care. I also request to have Koneko meet with her so that they can patch up their relationship." I said.

"This is quite the amount of evidence, I will see what I can do but I will not make any promises." said Sirzechs.

"Very well, that seems reasonable to me. I do believe our meeting is adjourned, thank you for your time and the tea. Goodbye for now." I said.

I then left and went back to New Berlin, I walked into a jewelry store run by an elderly Jewish man and his Granddaughter. He saw me and he welcomed me inside, he asked me what I needed and I told him that I needed an engagement ring and a wedding ring for Death. He said that he could have it ready by the end of the afternoon and I could pick it up around five o'clock. I thanked him and paid what was needed and I left to go work on the borders of what could now be considered a small nation.

How did I become so lucky, and why do I have the feeling something bad is on the horizon.
