“Indeed, some of them probably have a thought of courting you now! Of course, the legend will always be legend!” Jiwon added and that's make three of them laughed.

Hyejin was so happy to meet her friends again. Eunju and Jiwon came together and Jongseong will arrived with Aunty Dani. She took a sip from the champagne as her eyes slowly averted from the glass towards someone.

And the golden retriever boy already stared at her with those eyes. Full with emotion and lust, Hyejin can tell. She knows, the dress is the reason why Jaeyun stared at her like that.

Someone poked her arm and Hyejin immediately turned her head. Eunju who sat next to her obviously saw who Hyejin stared just now. She can't believe her eyes right now.

“Isn't that your ex?” she asked, “yes, that's him.”

“Don't you dare telling me that you was the one who inviting him?” she asked again and Hyejin slightly nodded make Eunju gasped loudly.

Her reaction catched so many attention and now people look at them in a very weird way. Jiwon who was waiting for Jongseong started to join them. She look at the same way as Eunju's and her eyes got widen.

“Am I dreaming or is that—”

“Sim Jaeyun.” Jongseong suddenly appears out of nowhere, side hug his girlfriend.

“You good to be joking!” she added but Jongseong still smiling at her, “I think you owe them an explanation Hyejin.”

Hyejin laughed awkwardly, Jongseong was right. Sooner or later they will and this is the time. She have been keeping this for almost one month and she don't want to repeat the same mistake.

“Actually... He is my boss.” she whispered so no one could hear that. Eunju and Jiwon having the same reaction and both of them covered their mouth.

“How the hell you can get involved with your stupid evil ex again, Park Hyejin?” Jiwon asked and Hyejin right before Hyejin explain to them Jongseong stopped her.

“I think we should discuss this the other day and I'm hungry. Come baby, let's eat first.” Jongseong pulled his girlfriend away and leaving Hyejin with Eunju.

“You still have to explain, Park Hyejin.” Eunju said.

The party went well. Hyejin really enjoyed the event and met some of her parents' friends.

When she talking with Jongseong, her father, Mr Park called Hyejin to introduce his best friend's son. Hyejin was so shocked to see Jaeyun talking with her parents and one stranger next to him. But Hyejin don't care about that one guy.

Mrs Park pulled her daughter closer, “sweetie, you didn't tell us that your boss is coming tonight? We are so happy to meet you, Mr Sim.”

“It's my pleasure too Ma'am, Sir. Hyejin probably forgot to tell you about me.” he answered politely and Mr Park chuckled because it was true.

“I hope our Hyejin is doing well. She really love this job since she went to Seattle. If you have time, we can meet each other to Mr Sim.” Mr Park added.

Jaeyun gave him a big smile, “sure, Mr Park I'm so happy to hear that.”

Hyejin was amazed by how Jaeyun talk with her parents. No flirtatious, only strict way of talking. Both of them look into eyes other eyes for a few seconds then look away.

“And Hyejin, I want to introduce you to my best friend's son Ethan Lee. His father and I already become friends since middle school and right now they just started a new branch in South Korea. Maybe you two can be friends?” Mr Park finally introduce the other guy.

Ethan shoved in his hand for a handshake, “I'm Ethan Lee, it's such a pleasure to meet you!”

“Park Hyejin, I hope you enjoy this party Ethan.” they do the handshake and seems like Ethan can't let go off her hand.

Well, not until Jaeyun coughed loudly.

Hyejin awkwardly smile because she could feel how strong Ethan's grip on her hand. Gladly, Jaeyun coughed to catched his friend attention so her hand finally free.

“We want to meet other guests and you two can have a talk with my daughter. Come, honey.” Hyejin's parents excused themselves.

Ethan getting excited.

“So, Hyejin right?”

“Yes, why Ethan?”

“How's work with Jake? Many employees complain how this young man ruling the company even though he's not present at the office.” Ethan asked and Hyejin just laughed.

“I don't know either, Ethan. But Mr Jake is a good leader, I would say and he's not that bad. Right, Mr Jake?” she answered with a coy smile.

Jaeyun who stood behind Ethan just smirked.

He can't take his eyes off Hyejin.
