"Okay, fine, so maybe going to the cops right now isn't the best idea, but come on your dad needs to know that you're okay. Look what happened to Sasha, one day she was here the next she's gone, do you want him to have to deal with that if you suddenly drop the way she did?"
"Don't you dare throw that kind of guilt at me. The second my dad finds out about any of this he will throw me in the psych ward anyway, even just to put me on lock down. He never trusted me moving into this place with my friends, he will take every ounce of independence from my life the second he finds out he was right."
"Well maybe having you under lock and key isn't the worst thing that could happen."
At that her eyebrows went up as he rolled his eyes.
"I'm just saying, if this place is capable of everything you've told me about, whose to say the next person it doesn't hurt is you? If you're safe, if you're where people can keep an eye on you then maybe that would keep you safe."
She didn't dignify him with a response. Instead, she glared at him for making the suggestion in the first place. After a few seconds he sighed.
"Alright, then you have to show me."
She couldn't believe he'd suggest something so stupid.
"No. Are you crazy? No, not a chance."
"If you won't tell your father then you're stuck with me."
"No, I'm not taking you anywhere near that place."
"Lennox I can take care of myself okay?"
"I'm sure you can, but if you haven't noticed I'm two friends down from what used to be a group of five all because of this damn house, so no, I'm not taking you there. Sasha and Kaila I can deal with on my conscience, I won't be responsible for something happening to you as well."
