"Lennox!" He sprinted, sliding down by her side as her eyes suddenly widened at his presence.

"Jay,"

"I'm here! I'm here," He gripped her hand with a gentle firmness, being careful not to let his adrenaline get the better of him.

She was shaking, and cold to the touch, not because of hypothermia - it wasn't cold enough. The most likely explanation for her shivering was shock.

"Jay I'm sorry,"

"It's alright,"

"I shouldn't have gone I should've listened to you."

"Hey,"

"I'm so sorry!" She sobbed as he put his other hand on her cheek.

"Look at me, Lennox look at me, it doesn't matter. Alright? I need you to breathe for me okay? Slow your breathing down,"

"I didn't want you to be angry with me,"

"I'm not, I promise you I'm not angry just listen to me, you can't keep breathing so fast I need you to slow down."

She nodded as he sat up and looked around. Detective Halloway, along with two other members of his team and some officers were coming towards them as Jay began to feel rain on his face. He lifted Lennox onto his lap, pushing himself underneath her so that she could lay against his chest as she gripped his arm, and when he looked at her leg he couldn't help but stare. The teeth of the trap were lodged in her skin, covered in blood; it was almost impossible that her bones weren't broken. When Detective Halloway reached the pair she saw the extensive damage. "Oh my God."
