The two lovebirds got along together well through conversations over the days.

Everyone in class could already tell that there was something going on between the two as they always held hands.

"Jaeryeon! Jaeryeon!'

They even created a ship name for them. Ms Yeon was beyond happy too. Despite all the attention they gained, they made sure that they focused on their studies first.

They sat for their exams and all went smoothly as they challenged each other to see who would get the higher grade.

Ambitious couple. Well, soon-to-be couple.

Jake's pov

We got back our report books today. I immediately went to Seryeon so we could open them together.

"Yeonnie! Let's open it at the same time!"
I put my book on her desk.

Yes, that's her new nickname.

"Okay, in 3, 2, 1"

We opened it at the same time and we looked at each other's grades.

"WAIT?! WE BOTH GOT STRAIGHT A's?
We said in sync.

No way.

"I think we were too determined to beat each other"
I scoffed.

"But congrats to us. Good job"
Seryeon said.

"You too"
"Can we hang at your house again?"
I asked.

"Mhm. I'll catch you later?"
She raised her brows and I nodded.

(At Seryeon's house)

I knocked on the door and Seryeon answered. I hid my hands behind my back.

"What's behind you?"
She tried to peek behind me.

"Hmm, I don't know"
I shrugged.

She folded her arms and waited. I smiled and showed her a boquet of flowers that I bought before coming here. A wide smile was plastered on her face upon the sight of it.

"Thank you, Jake"
She took the bouquet from me.

"Just a little something for doing well. I'm so proud of you"
I poked her cheek.

I went inside the house, towards her room.

"Was this expensive?"
She placed the boquet on the table.

"A little. But I don't spend much on myself either"
I replied.

"Then, since you surprised me...I have a surprise for you too"
Seryeon walked closer to me.

"What surprise?"
I asked.

She gestured for me to bend down so I could hear her.

"You'll stop courting me from now on. I'll be your girlfriend"
She whispered into my ear.

I straightened my back.

"You're being serious? Really? You'll date me now?!"
I was in disbelief.

"Yes, Yunnie"
She laughed.

I hugged her tightly, slightly lifting her off the ground. She's my girlfriend now.

"Gosh, okay. You can let go, I can't breathe"
She pat my back.

I loosened my arms and grabbed her face in my hands.

"May I?"
I looked at her lips, then her eyes.

"Yes"
She replied.

I gave her a peck on the lips. And then a longer peck.

It feels like euphoria.

"Thank you, Seryeon. Thank you"
I hugged her again.

"You're reaction was priceless"
She cracked up.

"How can I not when it's you who I'm dating?"
I pulled away.

"You're down bad, huh?"
She smirked.

"That's something that cannot be helped"
I laughed.

"Should I tell my mom?"
I asked her.

"Sure. I can't even picture the amount of shock on her face if she hears the news. Tell her to be prepared"
Seryeon responded.

"Okay, I'll let you know how it goes"
I replied.
