Seryeon's pov

"STOP! IT TICKLES!"
I tried to push Jake away.

I lost a game of rock paper scissors and he decided to tickle me as a result.

"Stop, please"
I slapped his hand away.

"Okay, sorry Yeonnie"
He ruffled my hair.

"Tsk. Leave me alone for a while"
I walked back to my seat.

I laid my head down on the desk.

"Seryeon, I'm sorry. Don't be angry?"
He placed his hand on my arm.

"Just give me a while"
I shifted my arm away.

I heard Jake walk away from me quietly. I'm just overreacting to prank him again.

(After school)

Jake's pov

Seryeon didn't talk to me the whole day. I decided to follow her home because I was worried about her.

"Seryeon, I didn't mean to upset you"
I caught up to her.

She opened the front door and entered, ignoring me. She dropped her bag on the floor and went to her room.

She was going to close the door but I stopped it and went in. I grabbed her wrist and pinned her to the wall.

"Seryeon, talk to me"
I looked straight into her eyes.

I saw the corner of her lips lift up into a smirk. 

"Finally fooled you"
She said proudly.

Oh, how mischief hides behind that smile.

"You won't fool me twice, Ahn Seryeon"
I tilted her jaw up.

"Why? What are you-"
Her eyes were shaky as I closed the distance between us.

I gave her a peck on the lips.

"To do this"
I kissed her again.

I wrapped my hands around her waist, pulling her closer while her hands locked behind my neck. I deepened the kiss.

It felt like fireworks were exploding in my stomach, sending its sparks through my veins.

"Is this what they call…physical chemistry?"
I muttered through the kiss.

I felt her lips tug up into a smirk, kissing me back passionately. It was a new feeling to both of us and I enjoyed every moment of it.

We then broke away, catching our breaths.

"You're full of surprises, Sim Jaeyun"
Seryeon rolled her eyes.

"Only for my girl"
I kissed her forehead.

She pushed me aside and laid on her bed. I went right beside her.

"How did your mom react to us?"
Seryeon asked me.

"As expected, insane. She told my dad too and he wants to meet you someday"
I smiled.

"You're family really likes me. Even Layla likes me more than you"
She snickered.

"But I like you more than any of them"
I teased.

"I'm pretty sure nothing beats Layla"
She avoided my eyes.

I pouted.

"Okay, sorry. Don't cry again"
Seryeon caressed my cheek with her thumb.

We both burst out in laughter.
