Richie's eyes droop from exhaustion but he still continues walking, stepping one foot in front of the other.

He had been woken at 4 am sharp by Beverly, who was sick of their late streak, even if it was just two days. She yanked him out of his creaky loud bed and threw a few pieces of clothes at him and waited. By the time Richie was done and picked up his bag Bev had hauled him out the doorway and out to their place of work.

"I still don't understand why we have to be this early" Richie complains, moving his glasses on top of his head and rubbing his eyes.

"Rich c'mon it'll be fun. The restaurant and the rink don't open until 8. That means we have the place to ourselves. Well unless of course Stan comes in earlier than expected-"

Richie interrupts her "Mike is gonna be there, he's in charge of the orders for the items and food remember?"

Beverly raises her eyebrows and nods, remembering that he was ordered to be the man of the job.

"Well that doesn't stop us! Mikey is a chill dude so he won't mind" Beverly says.

"Okay-what if those other two come back?" Richie asks.

Beverly is silent for a moment but she knows well of who he's talking about. "Then you get your Tozier charm and get the boy rich! I'll just cook her the most amazing food" she says with a lot of enthusiasm.

Richie smirks and does a set of jazzy hands making Bev smile along too.

They arrive at the parking lot and continue making their way into the back of the building.

"You think Mikey is here yet?" Bev asks.

"Mm, probably it's 5:03" Richie states pointing at his wrist that has the usual watch strapped around it.

Bev nods and fishes out a plain rusty chain that held six keys. One for their apartment, two for both of their bike locks, two for both of their separate homes (or their parents houses), and one for the back door of Lizzie's, that led to the kitchen that Bev tried to keep as clean as possible.

She jabs in the key and swirls it in different kinds of ways since she couldn't really remember which way was supposed to unlock it. By the left turn they heard a click from the inside indicating that she unlocked it. She pulls out the keys and pushes the door open, seeing that the lights are already on.

"Seems like Mikey is here huh?" Richie says. They both step inside and Beverly puts her keys inside of her bag and flings it back on her shoulder temporarily.

She steps aside from Richie to put her bag in Mike's 'office', as Richie refers to it. When the two started the job Mike offered to hold their bags for the day if they had no where to put them and it just stuck. They always swung by his room to say a quick hi (if he was in) and dropped off their bags.

She sees the door is inches from being closed but is still open so she creaks open the door and peeks her head in to see a working Mike furrowing his eyebrows at a piece of paper.

"Mikeyy!" Bev says, startling the boy.

"Jesus Bev! You scared the shit outta me" Mike says. He has a flannel on, since his office was pretty chilly.

"Sorry, just came to drop this off" she grins, lifting her bag into the air.

"No Richie?" Mike questions since he didn't see a second bag or a second figure.
