Nine year old Cerise Margaret Lux is a painter. Born deaf and mute to drug-addicted parents, as well as on her death bed suffering from muscular dystrophy, her paints are her life force. She paints to escape from the wheelchair in which she is permanently bound. As her body begins to lose strength and her muscles waste away, her paintings begin to show a deeper, almost supernatural meaning that even she can't decipher...
