The morning came quickly, Eros awoke with her in his arms. His eyes met with the pretty figure of his darling, name in his arms. Heart fluttering with delight, he pulled himself together.
She stirs, moving against him before she falls back to sleep. He was quick to notice she was as comfortable as ever. He kissed her forehead, fingers running through her locks.
This movement did not wake the female, it was clear she was deep in sleep. Eros smiles softly. He slowly lifts her off of him and slips her on the mattress beneath them. He kisses her on the lips softly before he gets out of the tent.
The moment he stepped out of the tent, his soft gaze turned hard and cold. "Darius." The guard jolts up upon hearing his name being called. "Sir?" "Pack up, we're going back to the village."
Darius seemed surprised but he nodded. "Yes, Your Majesty." He runs off probably to call his other friends. Eros looks around, his gaze was cold and calculating. He'd watch the guards finish packing everything except his own tent because he was waiting for Name to wake.
The guards did not question him not asking them to fix his tent, they had no right to make a say on it. They also had no idea that there had been someone in the tent other than him. It was amusing to see their faces when Name comes out, rubbing her eyes.
"Name, darling..." His attitude suddenly changes as he comes to her side, wrapping his arms around her. "Did you sleep well?" He cooed, kissing her cheek. Name nods, her eyes lingering to the guards who seemed in deep shock.
This led the guards to look at each other in shock. This was the same emperor who scared the crap out of them just minutes before?
Eros chuckled when he notices their bewildered stares. But where Name heard a soft chuckle, the guards heard a dangerous dark one in the midst of threatening them thoroughly.
They flinch and start fixing up the emperor's tent, trying to ignore the two who talked.
"Shall we go now, dearest?" Eros cooed slightly, his fingers still brushing in between her hair strands.
"Yes." His dearest was very straightforward with her response. Eros nods before he leads her to the carriage. As the carriage started moving he spoke again.
"We'll head to the village first so you can bathe and change." He would've allowed her to bathe in the lake but it was too risky, someone could see her bare and vulnerable and do stuff he would never forgive himself for allowing.
"Okay." She still seemed shaken. Eros understood that as he pulls her close, not willing to let her go. Now comes the surprise, Name did not shift uncomfortable or annoyed at his touch. Perhaps it's because she is now affection starved especially after these few days of being missing and a whole month away from her family.
It does not take long before they make it to the village. Returning to the home of the commander in this village, they enter and are greeted by the servants and tge commander himself to which Eros once more gives a disapproving look towards. "You." Eros is quick to point at a maid who bowed clumsily at him. "Bathe her." The maid stammers an answer and ushers the princess to the bathhouse.
Meanwhile Eros remains by the door. Half an hour passed and Name finally returns to him. She did not have any change of clothes that weren't torn, or any that Eros wanted to give her and not keep secret, so she wore Eros’ shirt that covered everything above her knees.
He bit his lip at the sight of her. The material of his pants straining at the slightest, but he is quick to ignore it. He pulls off his coat and places it around Name. His eyes linger to the coarse material of his shirt that barely hid his darling's most sensitive parts.
"There." He tries to act in the state of professionalism and moves back to look at her again. He gives an approving look before he links arms with her once more. "Let's go." It is an order and not a request so Name walks with him.
Before they head out, Eros is quick to pause. "You should button that." He points at his coat. Name takes a few minutes to do so and then they head off. Back home to the castle.
