Invasion

Part 1: chapter 3

" I guess I got no choice kid"
"well you do, its just it'd be kinda stupid if you choose not to 'cause you'll die on your own".
"Yeah I know..."

Just as I was about to grab another bag of chips, I heard something in the distance.
"Mila" I begun.
She paid her full attention on me. "what?"
"Do you hear anything?"." No..... Wait... Yeah" she responded a bit hesitantly.
"do you think it's your group?" I asked. " I don't know..."

I got up and started to follow the sound.

"I'll come along with you" said Mila. I nodded my head. We started to follow the noise.

As we followed the noise, we walked down a hallway of classrooms. The hallway was completely quite except for the noise Mila and I where following. When we passed by numbers of class rooms, they all looked the same. Dead with shredded bodies of children.

Mila and I where getting closer to the noise. The noise sounded like an animal scavenging threw objects and making thuds and crashes and some objects fall.
It had to be a raider, I just know it is.
I grabbed my hammer so that I'd be prepared to smash it's head open. I then whispered to Mila
" Mila, do you have any kind of weapon?"
" yeah, I have a switch blade Troy gave me."
She pulled out a switch blade from her Jean pocket with a blade that was around 6 inches.
" okay, get ready for anything." I whisper.

The noises stopped as we peered around the classroom door cautiously, making sure we didn't make any noise that would give us away. We walked into the classroom. It was fairly big but really messed up. There was splatters of blood every where, the desks where all fallen to their sides on the ground and children's bodies whom were teared apart. I felt my body tense up as I became more wary of my surroundings.

" I don't see anything Skylar"

I took a moment to respond as I kept my eyes alerted.
"There has to be something. Those noises weren't made all by themselves."

All of a sudden, a raccoon leaped out from behind a fallen desk, viciously hissing at something. I was a not far from us, and kept hissing wildly.
"Ugh it's a freakin' raccoon"
"Yeah.... But it's not hissing at us..." I told Mila. "Umm I dunno if you've noticed Sky, but we're the only living beings in this room"
" No, we aren't the only ones"

I looked at the ceiling above us.

Oh shit.

Four raiders where on the classroom's ceiling. The jumped from the ceiling and onto the floor, surrounding Mila and I. The raiders where different then the one I fought before. These ones where a lot bigger. The raccoon tried to flee but one of the raiders dove it's head for the raccoon and sunk it's sharp deadly teeth into the raccoons body. Mila started to scream.

"Mila! Calm the fuck down and control yourself!" I demanded in a strong tone.
" I... I can't Skyler! We're outnumbered! We're going to die!"

We both stood back to back with our weapons prepared to fight the horrid creatures, though I could feel Mila trembling in fear and hear her sobbing with tears. God children are annoying.

Three raiders started closing in on me, I tried to show no fear but I still was very terrified. One tried to claw me, I managed to dodge its first attempt but failed to dodge its second, it clawed my left arm pretty bad. I grunted in pain, trying to not to give into the pain but it was way to much this time. The beast then started to growl, trying to intimidate me, though I didn't back down. I caught a glimpse of Mila trying to fight off one of the raiders. I was glad she wasn't eaten yet.

All of a sudden a heard a voice that wasn't Mila's.

" Mila!" Yelled a male voice.
" Troy! Help us! Please! Hurry!" Mila cried.
As I kept trying to defend myself from three of the raiders, I heard footsteps running threw the hallway towards the class Mila and I where trapped in.

A group of people ran threw the door.
"Mila!"
"Guys! Help us!"

Two males and a female rushed into the room with weapons and immediately started to fight the raiders. They looked young, around the ages 18-20. A male ran to help Mila and Another male and a female ran to my side to help me fend off the beasts.

The female pulled out a gun and fired at one of the raider's head, causing it to explode with the black liquid. The male pulled out two guns and started firing at another. I tried to fend off the last one with just a hammer. While the female was shooting one of the raiders, It started to shriek and lunge itself towards her, but she kept firing at its head. It fell too the ground weakened. As she was going to finish it off, she ran out of bullets. the raider gathered its last strength and swung its claws at the girl.
It clawed her very deeply, she cried in pain as she clutched the right side of her body.

Right when the raider was going to bit her head off, she quickly pulled out a really large sharp blade and pierced it deeply in its throat. It fell to the ground gagging. It finally stopped gagged once it completely died.

The male on my other side instantly killed the raider he was taking care off.
I was still struggling to kill mine. Right when I was about to stab the raider with the sharp end of my hammer, it slammed it's hand so hard against me, causing impact that sent me falling to the hard ground and hitting my head against something that felt like medal.

My head was in thundering agony. My hearing became faint. My clear vision started to disappear from my eyes.
