Dean Winchester had been hunting for as long as he could remember, but this hunt was different. It was supposed to be a simple salt-and-burn job, but things had gone wrong. Dean had been thrown into a wall by a poltergeist, and now he was lying on the ground, in pain and unable to move.
Sam Winchester rushed to his brother's side. He could see the pain etched on Dean's face, and he knew that they needed to get him to a hospital.
"Dean, can you hear me?" Sam asked, gently shaking his brother's shoulder.
Dean groaned in response, his eyes barely open. "Sam...I can't move."
Sam's heart sank. He knew that Dean was in bad shape. He carefully checked his brother for injuries, wincing as he felt the broken ribs beneath Dean's shirt.
"Okay, Dean, I need you to stay still," Sam said, trying to keep his voice steady. "I'm going to call an ambulance, and we'll get you to a hospital."
Dean nodded weakly, and Sam pulled out his phone, dialing 911.
As they waited for the ambulance to arrive, Sam tried to keep Dean calm. He talked to him about anything and everything, trying to distract him from the pain.
When the ambulance arrived, Sam helped the paramedics lift Dean onto a stretcher. He rode with his brother to the hospital, holding his hand and promising that everything would be okay.
At the hospital, Dean was taken into surgery to repair his broken ribs and other injuries. Sam paced in the waiting room, his stomach in knots. He couldn't bear the thought of losing his brother.
Hours passed before the surgeon came out to speak with Sam. He explained that the surgery had gone well, but that Dean would need to stay in the hospital for a few days to recover.
Sam nodded, grateful that his brother was going to be okay.
Over the next few days, Sam stayed by Dean's side in the hospital room. He helped him with everything from eating to using the bathroom. He talked to him, read to him, and even watched cheesy movies with him.
Dean was in a lot of pain, but Sam was there to help him through it. He brought him ice packs, pain medication, and anything else that he needed.
As the days passed, Dean slowly started to feel better. He was able to sit up, walk around the room, and even crack a few jokes.
Sam was relieved to see his brother improving, but he also knew that it was going to be a long road to recovery. He promised to be there for Dean every step of the way.
Finally, after a week in the hospital, Dean was discharged. Sam helped him into the car and drove him back to their motel room.
As they settled in, Sam made sure that Dean was comfortable. He fluffed his pillows, brought him a glass of water, and turned on the TV.
"Thanks, Sammy," Dean said, his voice hoarse from the surgery.
Sam smiled. "Anything for you, man."
For the next few weeks, Sam helped Dean recover. He made sure that he ate well, took his medication, and didn't overexert himself.
Slowly but surely, Dean started to regain his strength. He was able to go on short walks, do some light exercise, and even help Sam with a few cases.
Sam was proud of his brother's resilience, and he knew that he had played a small part in helping him get better. He was grateful for the bond that they shared, and he promised himself that he would always be there for Dean, no matter what.
