"𝙂𝙧𝙤𝙫𝙚𝘾𝙡𝙖𝙣, 𝙖𝙩𝙩𝙖𝙘𝙠!" 𝙄𝙣𝙙𝙞𝙜𝙤𝙠𝙞𝙩 𝙝𝙤𝙬𝙡𝙚𝙙 𝙞𝙣 𝙪𝙣𝙞𝙨𝙤𝙣 with Dawnkit as she wriggled her hindquarters. She leaped into the fray, barreling into Willowkit. Her sister let out an oof, tumbling backward. Indigokit went in for a pounce, but Willowkit recovered quickly, facing Indigokit with a playful glint in her sky-blue eyes. Indigokit momentarily shifted her gaze to Dawnkit as she pounced on Fawnkit, her brother's eyes flashing with pain.
Indigokit let out a squeal of surprise when she felt a weight on her back, flopping over. She struggled to get free as her sister pummeled her spine. Indigokit wriggled under her littermate's weight, reaching to try and knock her sister's paw out from under her so she would lose her balance.
"Ow! Ow!" Fawnkit's cry made Indigokit and Willowkit abruptly stop, getting to their paws to shake grass and debris from their coats.
"What's the matter this time?" Russetkit grumbled beside Indigokit as he broke free from Cedarkit's grasp. Indigokit frowned at her brother as he shook out his fur indignantly.
"Dawnkit unsheathed her claws," Fawnkit huffed, sitting back on his haunches to show a small scratch on his chest. From the corner of her eye, Indigokit saw Cedarkit and Russetkit exchange glances. Russetkit rolled his eyes.
"Toughen up!" Dawnkit lashed her tail. "A real fight includes claws. You're just soft."
Fawnkit glared at her, his neck fur bristling.
"Yeah, you whined when I pushed you too hard into the grass," Russetkit scoffed, giving Fawnkit a playful shove.
"I'm not soft!" Fawnkit retorted, scowling at Dawnkit as she lifted her chin in triumph. Russetkit struggled to hold back his laughter.
Indigokit couldn't help but feel awful as a defeated look crossed Fawnkit's face. He must have noticed Russetkit's action because he began to stomp toward the reddish-brown tom. Indigokit rushed to come between them.
"Alright!" she hissed, "Fawnkit isn't weak." Indigokit shot a pointed look toward Dawnkit.
"Awww, do you have to step in because Fawnkit can't stand up for himself?" she mocked, sharing a chuckle with Russetkit.
"To be fair, you are a moon older than us, and we aren't supposed to unsheathe our claws in a fight." Willowkit stepped in, licking a paw to swipe it over an ear. Dawnkit looked indifferent.
