Chapter 1

The Party

"Being the CEO of one of Korea's largest companies isn't a walk in the park. It demands everything to uphold that position. No time for family, no room for personal life, no chance for relationships, or anything else one might enjoy. This is precisely the situation in Yoongi's life. He's toiling day and night, sticking to every schedule, attending every meeting, and burning the midnight oil in the office. As one of the youngest CEOs of his generation, he always strives to give his best.

Meet Min Yoongi, a 29-year-old who took the reins as the CEO of Min Corporation at the tender age of 24. Renowned for his chilly demeanor, disciplined work ethic, responsible approach, and brilliant business mind. His handsome face also earns him considerable fame, particularly among the female staff who often find excuses to work in his office. Yet, due to Yoongi's frosty demeanor, no one dares to approach him. There was an attempt once, resulting in the immediate dismissal of the person involved. Since that incident, everyone treads carefully around him."

"He took control of his company right after graduating, and the company experienced substantial growth under Yoongi's leadership. For the second time, he earned the title of the best businessman in the country.
To celebrate Yoongi's award, his parents organized a grand party, inviting numerous businessmen. It was at this event that Min Yoongi first encountered Park Jimin."

"Meet Park Jimin, a 23-year-old young man on the brink of becoming the CEO of Park Industries. Currently in his final year of university, he juggles academics with working alongside his father in the family business. Despite his angelic face, Jimin, known for his cuteness and lovability, had numerous admirers in high school and college. However, due to a past incident, he rejected all proposals, leading to a colder demeanor towards others. Jimin reveals his cute and bubbly side only to family and close friends.

As the heir to Park Industries, he also received an invitation to the success party of Min Yoongi.

Jimin had classes today, which ended at 3 pm, leaving him exhausted. On his way home, he received a brief text from his father: 'We are leaving at 7.' Jimin sighed upon seeing the message; he had only 2 hours to relax and complete his assignment. Sometimes, life becomes extra hectic for him, but he couldn't do anything about it."

At 6:20, Jimin began preparing for the evening. He dressed in a white shirt paired with a black suit and tie. After applying some gel to style his hair, he added a touch of makeup to complete his look. Finally, a spritz of perfume, and he was ready. Glancing at his watch, it was 6:47. He needed to head downstairs to meet his father. One thing his father despised the most was being late.

Yoongi is gearing up for the party, even though he's not fond of such gatherings. However, he recognizes their value for networking and sealing business deals, so he doesn't want to miss the opportunity. The party kicks off at 7, and at 6:50, Yoongi gives himself a final once-over in the mirror, understanding the significance of first impressions.

While fixing his hair for the last time, his best friend Hoseok walks into the room. "Congratulations," he says dramatically to Yoongi, who responds with a mere eye roll. However, Hoseok is accustomed to Yoongi's demeanor, having been friends since kindergarten. Ignoring the eye roll, Hoseok persists, asking if there's a specific reason for the party. Yoongi rolls his eyes again, retorting, "Why does everything need a reason?"

Hoseok, switching to a dramatic tone once more, remarks, "Because Min Yoongi doesn't do anything without reason." Then, in a softer tone, he adds, "Do you know Park Jimin will be here?"

   The reason Hoseok makes a big deal out of Park Jimin's presence is that Jimin isn't well-known in the business world. Park Industries has maintained its position for many years, but Jimin's father, protective due to a past attack on Jimin when he was young, has kept tight security around him. Consequently, many people in business are unfamiliar with Jimin's appearance and personality.

This secrecy adds to Hoseok's excitement about Jimin's arrival. Yoongi shakes his head to indicate he doesn't know Jimin. Hoseok persists, sharing, "I've heard he's a total angel. Everyone in his college admired his beauty. Do you wanna... you know... hit on him?"

Yoongi doesn't respond, glancing at his watch; it's already 7. He grabs Hoseok's hand, signaling it's time to head to the party.
