-Doodles Tell Stories of the Bored-

7 1 1

Ink of a ball point pen,
You see it again and again.
The detailed lines of those before,
They made them when life was a bore.

The Doodles on your desk Tell their Stories,
Some of the sketches are such glories.
The dragon battling the wizard, who wins? No one knows.
The fallen angel embracing a demon, the demon from hell below.

The pitcher with the old mitt,
A heart down the middle split.
For the Doodles Tell Stories of the Bored,
Across your desk gallops a horseman with a sword.

"So I ended up with this, pencil abstract bliss,
And if you look closer, every doodle is a kiss".
I use my pencil to tell my stories,
Through all the categories.

Don't touch the stories of the bored,
The bored have used their energy in this record.
You'll erase all their detailed work,
Even though they should've done homework.

Doodles Tell Stories of the Bored,
Even the knight with a sword.
The detailed butterfly once flew,
Through your mind, only you.

The graphite sticks to the desk through the artist,
For they hold the pencil only when smartest.
For the stories they tell are on this desk top,
While their tales never seem to stop.

When the marks swirl and whirl,
And all of the designs unfurl,
When the pen runs out of ink,
It's time to stop and think.

Take a moment to read the tales,
Even dark ones hidden by veils,
Pay attention to the doodles that are ignored,
Because these Doodles Tell Stories of the Bored.
