Hatchlings

A young hatchling stared up at the sky in which three moons hung. Electricity crackled around her golden antlers and bright blue scales. She wondered what it was like to be constantly in the sky as a moon, regardless of it being day or night. She wondered if the Human Realm had three constant moons too.
She had no mother or father, only a sister. Although, she had often been told that her mother, though yes had originally sided with the Dragon of Death, had been great when she and her sister had been eggs.
She's a star now! The hatchling thought, absentmindedly ruffling her great wings.
She heard the pitter-patter of small paws on the ground and turned.
Her sister was identical to her, apart from colour; dark purple with white antlers.
"I can't sleep," her sister said.
The first hatchling smiled, "Come here," she said and stretched out one great wing.
Her sister obliged happily but sleepily and curled up beneath her sister's wing.
