On Thursday night I entered alone and determined to the dining hall. I saw that they were already there sitting in their usual table; I had purposely arrived a little later than them. There was an empty seat next to Amelie, it was perfect, I didn't know who was missing and I didn't have the time to care, if I thought much about it I would probably chicken out. So I grabbed my trail and some food. I turned around and walked with my head held high towards them.

As I walked past them I saw Kacey looking at me confused and Maeve staring horrified once she understood what I was about to do.

When I got to the table I simply sat down.

-Hi! - I said smiling.

They all turned towards me muddled. Not a single one of them said a word, and as my smile faded a little. I realized they were not the only ones staring at me, the whole cafeteria had grown silent, the only audible thing was the breathing of everybody, and I felt all their eyes on me. I found Amelie's gaze who for a moment was flabbergasted sitting straight with her body completely rigid, before looking away, clearly avoiding me.

I scanned all of them as they stared coldly and deadly at me. Not even Willow nor Summer seemed so friendly anymore, I could have sworn they even look quite concerned and shocked at the same time.

-And you are...? - asked Killian breaking the silence, his strong voice almost echoed through the room. I found his green-almond eyes staring right into mine, him and Kaden were so similar they could have been twins, they both had sharp facial features, straight brown hair and porcelain skin. They both had a look that could kill anyone. They irradiated power and elegance and this cocky sense of superiority. I was not dumb, I knew by the tone of his voice and the way he was smirking at me he, was being condescending. He suddenly readjusted himself leaning a little bit over the table, inviting me to answer.

-I'm Sophia Walton, I'm...-

-Amelie's new pet- interrupted me Kaden with a cruel smile dancing softly around her pink lips; she was looking at me as if I was a bag of trash sitting on a chair.

-Kaden- reproached her Imani in such a low voice I actually doubted she heard her.

-Zian, since when does your girlfriend picks up the street dogs? -questioned Killian mockingly relaxing back into his chair.

-I already told her she has enough mascots- answered the amber eyed boy and this time almost everybody around us chuckled.

-Boys- scolded them Elio, not amused at all, nor him, nor Amelie, nor Imani, nor Nox seemed entertain by the joke, as everybody else on the table.

-Well I guess we could teach her a couple of things...-kept going Killian- Unless she's retarded she'll learn; we can have some fun- he said this last part giving me a wink.

He was insulting me and also insinuating himself to me? What was that about? If Imani understood the hint she did not care at all, she just stared analyzing me. I was paralyzed in my place, I could not move or think correctly, I was not even sure what was going on. But I knew I was being made fun of and humiliated. Why am I not running away already? I guess I kind of hoped someone would come rescue me, but nobody moved.

-I know of a place we could go to, I'll train you there, you'll learn how to be a good girl- kept going Killian, as if he was completely oblivious to his girlfriend sitting next to him.

This time even Kaden chuckled. I eyed everyone around me again, if they were not smiling making fun of me they looked at me with pity. I tried to meet Elio's gaze, but just as Amelie, he was looking straight to the table, avoiding me, Summer had begun playing with her food, the only one who faced me was Willow, but it was useless, I found no comfort there either.
