Chapter 35: Final Battle

"The new governor of Chrysos has arrived with the food wagons!" Taehyung quickly awakens when he hears the announcement. He stumbles around his tent as he gets dressed for the day.

When he smells breakfast cooking, he suddenly gags, runs out of the tent, and vomits again. He groans in annoyance as his throat burns from vomiting so often for the past few days.

As Taehyung stands up, he is suddenly engulfed in his mate's warmth. To Taehyung's surprise, he suddenly cries when his mate's warmth encompasses him. "Jungkook." He cries out and goes completely limp in his mate's arms.

"I am here, Dear." Jungkook whispers and lifts his crying mate into his arms. "Over our link, I can feel that you are distressed. Are you ill? What happened?" Jungkook asks as he cradles his mate in his arms.

"I am not sure what is wrong. I have been throwing up for the past couple of days." Taehyung mutters as his mate carries him to his tent.

"I am here now. Everything will be okay." Jungkook whispers as he gently presses a tender kiss on Taehyung's forehead. 

"I have missed you so much." Taehyung quietly cries and clings to his mate.

"Me too, Dear." Jungkook softly hums and sits down on Taehyung's bedding. I knew that something was wrong. The alpha tightens his embrace around his mate as worry for his mate fills him.

Taehyung quickly falls asleep as his mate's presence comforts him.

When Jin walks into Taehyung's tent, he sees Taehyung peacefully sleeping in Jungkook's arms. "I have never seen him so comfortable with another person." Jin softly whispers with a smile.

"How often has he been throwing up?" Jungkook quietly asks as he runs his fingers through his mate's soft hair.

"He throws up multiple times a day. I have been very worried about him." Jin responds as he holds Taemin in his arms.

"We will all rest today. Tomorrow, I will lead the army to Ohkta. Something is wrong with Taehyung, and I do not want him going into danger alone when he is this vulnerable." Jungkook mutters and presses a kiss on Taehyung's forehead.

"I will tell the others." 

"Thank you. Also, your pup is cute." Jungkook smiles as he looks at the sleepy omega pup in Jin's arms.

"I am excited for Namjoon to meet him." Jin hums and gently kisses his pup's forehead.

"Namjoon is beyond excited to meet him as well." Jungkook hums and looks at Jin's happy smile.

When Taehyung wakes up, he fights the feeling of waking up because he does not want to wake up and find that his mate is not there. 

"Dear, I am here." Jungkook's soft voice prompts Taehyung to open his eyes.

"I thought that I was dreaming." Taehyung smiles and wraps his arms around his mate.

"How are you feeling?" Jungkook softly asks as he runs his fingers through Taehyung's soft hair.

"I am feeling fine. I do not feel unwell. The waves of nausea are sudden and then they leave rather quickly." Taehyung explains as his mate's scent comforts him. "I do not know why, but I want to be wrapped in your scent all day. I feel like crying at random moments. I have never been like this before." Taehyung mumbles as he buries his face in his mate's chest.

"You are tired. Ever since we met, we have not had a moment of peace together. Once everything calms down, I will hold you and wrap you in my scent to your heart's content." Jungkook smiles and kisses the top of his mate's head.
