CHAPTER ONE -- QUIET IS ALL THAT FALLS IN THE CITY

CHAPTER ONE – Quiet Is All That Falls In The City

There sat a woman looming over the lively city. A tea cup in hand, a small plate in the other, and sitting on her comfortable chair, nobody could imagine the train of thoughts running through her mind. The mysterious figure slowly nods her head as she looks out the large pane of glass. From the light in her office, her expression would reflect from the window. She sat dimly lit with the light emphasizing her menacing expression. Oh, the world has yet to know what will happen...

It's bright as early in the morning. A youthful-appearing girl would arise from her deep slumber and yawn like a wildcat. She rubs her eyes to awaken herself more and turned her head to the dark mahogany nightstand that stood there. She looks at the clock sitting on her nightstand which reads 11:34 AM. Afterward, she looks at the calendar that hangs above the clock. She eyes the big circle that is labeled "INTRODUCING NEW MEMBER" under September 5. She stares back down for a moment and starts to zone out. Soon after, she slowly mouths the words.

"Introducing new member... introducing new member... intro...ducing..."

"Introducing new member!" After realizing the special occasion, she jumps out of her bed with a huge smile and rushes to get ready. She runs down the steep stairs and almost trips, which seems to always be the case whenever she gets overly excited. After getting herself ready, she cheerfully skips to her kitchen and makes herself some toast. While waiting for the toaster machine to ding, she starts to wonder...

"How will the new member look? What do they do? What are their abilities?!" Her questions would remain unanswered until she arrived at the council building.

She exits her house with a huge smile plastered across her face. Many citizens would greet the girl and she greets them back. She was raised and trained to have proper etiquette because of her current position. 

She arrives at the Council building. Its walls stood tall and the statue at the top oversaw the city like its guardian. Opening the entrance, she looks around the humongous inside of the building. It is decorated with gold, silver amethyst, and emerald gems and ores, detailing and emphasizing the great powerful special life forms that are a part of the council.

As the girl waits at the long meeting table, the doors open, revealing a strange group of people.

"Welcome everyone! Please take a seat. I have an important announcement." She greets them.

"Good morning, Zina." A boy with deep piercing green eyes responds back to her.

"Hehe, sorry for making the council come here this early. I never have announcements planned this early in the morning.

"It's no issue, Miss Der Himmel." A man with brown dusty hair speaks. "I'm quite stoked to see what you will announce."

"Oh, Shane you're here!" She says with joy. 

After the council arrives, she stands up from her chair and walks towards the door. It seems like she was speaking to someone behind. Her hand motioned for the mysterious person to come into the room. Lo and behold, they do!

"Everyone, I would like to introduce you to our newest member, Vicar Adelard! I expect everyone to treat him with the utmost respect. Got it?"

The council nods. 

"Now go sit down, Vicar. We'll just be talking about the city's affairs. Nothing too heavy on your first day hehe." Zina says to the shy man.

Two hours have passed since the beginning of the meeting. The day has already felt slow.

"Well, that concludes our meeting everyone! Thank you for coming." She still has that bright smile on her face. Seems like she's always happy 24/7 huh?

As Vicar is about to leave, he's stopped by the cheerful council leader. He gets tugged to the side.

"Vicar! I have one question about you. What is your ability? All of us are special forms with abilities, and I'd like to know yours. It's best to be transparent on what you can do here hehe!"

Vicar is perplexed by her question for a moment. Then realizes what she asked. 

"Me..? Oh.. that's correct... My abilities are to foresee the future. I'm a clairsentience meaning that I could clearly envision events in the future, but if they're far away, it would be hard to read."

"Oh.. that's so interesting! I never heard of anyone having the ability to see the future. Well, you should get home now. We'll be having our next tomorrow at 2 PM." She pats his back and waves him goodbye.

The face of the mysterious figure can be seen from the light reflecting onto the mirror. She was furious. You can see the expression of disgust written all over her face.

"Kill all of them tonight. I expect great results by tonight. They are scums of the Earth and will be the foundation of my new empire."

A young woman appears to stand in the middle of the doorway cleaning her pistol.

"You got it, Miss Isamu." The young woman obliged.

"Good. Now go." She sternly ordered her.

She sits back down in her chair and sighs, lord she's already tired. A knock at her door wakes her up from her train of thought.

"Enter." She spins her chair to face whoever knocked. It was a man and a woman who entered. One with a weird mechanical eye and one that was well-dressed. The well-dressed woman nods. 

"Good afternoon Miss Isamu. I have arrived with good news. I'm not sure what Dylan has over here." She gives the woman sitting down a small smirk that screams confidence.

"Good afternoon Allegra and Dylan. I'm pleased you brought good information for our mission. And you Dylan? What information do you have?"

"Uhh.. don't worry Miss Isamu! I'm currently stirring up the next stage for our plan. I won't disappoint you. Their inevitable demise is fast approaching them, lest they'll have a thousand bounties on their head once this all starts..hehehehehahahahahahah!" The weird guy snickers as his mechanical eye starts to glow a deep wine red. 

"Thank you. Now please go on with your work. I need this all to finish by next Sunday. I have a seminar to attend to on that day on how to freeze Tokyo's assets." They both leave her office. She's left alone and thinks about what will happen. 

"Your end is here.. you inferior pests.."
