A few days after, I was in the library putting the books back in their places.
I never realized how big the library was, but now that I was stuck there, forced to sort books by authors and historical period I couldn't forget it.

When the king told us what would be our punishment I thought that it would be easy, but with Aegon lurking around, touching all the books and moving them to add us work, I could only hope for this week to end.

And I knew I would never leave the castle again, or at least, not be caught again out of the keep.

Only a few lords and ladies would visit the library on the evening, so most of the time I was cleaning in silence. Aemond was there, of course but the room was so big that we would almost never crossed each other.

As I turned into an alley to put back a book in its place, I gasped in surprise when I saw Aemond sitting on the floor peacefully reading.

"What are you doing?" I asked pissed.

"I'm reading. Obviously." Aemond replied as he turned a page of his book without looking at me.

"Yeah, I know you're reading but why aren't you helping me ?"

Aemond shrugged, still without looking up to me. "I found this book about dragons and maybe if I read it I'll know how to properly claim one."

" You should be helping me. Look at all this mess you've just done !" I sighed when I realized that my uncle was surrounded by books all written by Valyrian maesters and probably all about dragons.

Aemond tore off the page he was reading making me gasp before folding it and putting it in his pocket.

Still silent he took all the books and started to put them in the wrong places as I followed him taking them back to put them in the right places.

"Aemond ! You're doing the exact opposite of what you must do. Stop it !" I almost shouted and the prince finally stopped to look at me. "You could help me instead of being a cunt as your brother ! It's your fault that we're here."

"I never asked you to defend me." He replied as he took few books from my hands to store them correctly.

"At least you could thank me for it. We both know that the king would have ground you more severely if it weren't for me."

Aemond rolled his eyes before responding again. "I could have handle my father. And I never asked you to lie to the king. You know that it's a great crime." He whispered so that nobody else would hear it.
