《NICK'S POV》
Matt started by grabbing a card first. "Who is the person you trust the most?" He scanned the room, thinking carefully about whom he should ask this question. "Jay."
"Levi." He didn't even take a second to decide.Matt rolled his eyes. "Levi? What about me?"
"I literally trust everyone I know more than I trust you." Jay calmly replied.Nick couldn't blame him. Jay had told them about how he had asked Matt for Levi's number. Matt had proceeded to give Jay his own phone number, after which Jay ended up confessing to who he thought was Levi, but was actually Matt.
Nick could imagine he would have been livid if his brother did something like that to him."I trust you the most too." Levi said and the lovers proceeded to share a look.
Nick turned to look at Riven. He definitely trusted Riven the most as well.Matt sighed and handed Jay a new card. "It's your turn to read."
Jay waited until everyone was looking at him, before reading the card. "Oh!" He exclaimed when he saw whatever was written on it. "This will be interesting.""What does it say?" Felix eagerly asked.
"Why did your last relationship end?"
Shit. Shit, shit, shit. Nick already felt it coming.
"Nick?" Jay looked at him curiously.
Riven shifted uncomfortably in his place."I broke up with her, because I didn't like her anymore." At least he thought that was what happened. It felt so long ago, he could barely remember who he was dating before everything with Riven happened.
"Oh, come on. You know that wasn't what I meant."
Obviously, Nick knew that. He quickly glanced over at Riven.
"Me and Riven weren't together. Not really.""But it was a relationship, right?" Felix started meddling too, something Nick didn't exactly appreciate.
"It ended because... because the month had passed. That was the agreement.""Didn't it end before that already? If I remember correctly, you guys barely looked at each other the last few days." Jay apparently still hadn't had enough.
Matt and Riven looked at each other and suddenly the realization hit Nick. Of course, Matt knew. He shouldn't be surprised about that. But still, it stung.
Nick had kept everything between them, he hadn't told anyone. He had hoped Riven would've done the same. Especially since Nick was the one who had caught feelings.
"Jay, please. He obviously doesn't want to talk about it." Levi nudged his boyfriend.
"No. It's okay. I'm not ashamed to say..." Was he really about to say this?"I told Riven I ha- had feelings for him. And those feelings weren't reciprocated. Which is fine, of course. But that is why we were being weird for a while, I guess."
"Oh, shit." Alex mumbled.
"Fuck, I really didn't know. I'm sorry, bro." Jay sounded genuinely remorseful, but his face showed he wasn't that surprised by what Nick just told them."Alright, I guess it's my turn now." Nick somehow got himself to smile, while he reached over to grab a card. He couldn't bear to look at Riven, but he could feel that he was looking at him.
His card read: "What was the worst trip you've been on?"
Alex answered by telling them a story about one time he and his family went camping. They were supposed to go for 2 weeks but after sitting through a week of storms and rainfall, they decided to go home."I think I'd actually prefer hell." He concluded.
Matt scoffed. "Wouldn't you prefer hell either way?"
"If it exists, which it probably doesn't, then yes.""Good, because I'm not going there all by myself." Matt reached over to grab a card and hand it to Alex.
"What do you regret the most... Levi?"Levi had to think for a moment. "Probably having my parents find out about me and Jay. I didn't do it on purpose, but it'd go back and change that if I could."
