Chapter 13 Heartbreak

I could hear crying and chatter." Ma'am we need you to go get in the other ambulance" Paramedics came up to me " What no I need to ride with my husband "" Ma'am you are pregnant!" " You have no way to prove that!" " Really what's this note we found in the car?" " I can't leave him though" " Ma'am" I heard the faint chatter after that and an ambulance driving away with the sirens fading I felt hands all over my body, my arms , my chest and when they got my leg I shouted in pain I closed up my fist and shut my eyes tight then I turned my head to my right and open my eyes as the paramedics were examining my leg " Rose" I muttered as my voice was weak I was looking side to side panicking " Rose!" I tried to yell but my voice just cracked I started to panic more when there was no response " Sir calm down" I saw a paramedic he was trying to put an oxygen mask on me " Where's Rose" my voice rough and sore " " Sir we need you to calm down " " Where is my wife " I fought with them till I threw my head back from the pain in my leg trying not to scream" Ahh shit!" I mumbled and the paramedic took that as a chance to put the mask on " Sir she is okay she is in another ambulance" I sighed slamming my fist on the backboard they had under me " Sir " " Don't tell my to calm down" I said giving him a death glare and then the other paramedic looked at him and he nodded holding my arms down " What are you doing let go-aghh!" I screamed but my voice was way too sore for it to be loud and a few tears escaped my eyes as they wrapped my leg " Stop!" I begged, struggling, moving and slamming my fist as much as I could. " Sir we need you to be still!" " Stop! Stop it! Stop!!" I cried " Stop touching me!" I begged and they were done " We had to wrap your leg it's most likely broken" I had my head back and I passed out again

Rose's POV

They had me strapped down to the gurnee so I couldn't pull anything " Please I just need to see my husband" " Ma'am we have to make sure that you and the baby are healthy" " I'M fine please I can't lose my husband!" " Rose why didn't you tell me you were pregnant" " I was me and Jack were on our way to your house to tell you" I wanted to break down and cry and I saw the ambulance Jack was in pass us " Why are they passing us is he okay" " Ma'am he just has more injuries than you" they reassured me but I was panicking then when we got to the hospital when they got me out of the ambulance I saw Jack passed out with someone on top of him doing CPR as they were rushed down a hallway " Jack!" I yelled crying time feeling frozen as I saw Jack's face looking lifeless " Jack! Jack!" I yelled then he disappeared into the hallways " Ellie please go check on him" " No miss stay here" " Jack" I cried down the hallway the memory of him lying there helpless the paramedic giving him CPR kept playing in my head"He's gone " I thought I don't even remember what happened after the doctor came in all I know that me and thee baby were fine I just had a rash from the seatbelt I was now in scrubs in a bed then Ellie walked in "How's Jack!" I asked sitting up " I don't know they wouldn't let me in the room" " That means something is wrong he's probably dead" I said and she walked over " Rose he's not dead" " How would you know you didn't see him there he was lying on the gurnee lifeless someone was giving him CPR" I said and she sighed " Rose you can assume the worse he'll be okay " I just sat up " Here I got you a snack and a water" she said handing me then and I put the bag of chips down " I can't eat right now" " The Doctors said you need to eat something, You wouldn't eat the lunch they brought you so eat this or eat the lunch " I sighed I sat up all the way grabbing the chips and opening them and started to eat just to make her shut up" So how far along are you?"
