"It's getting late. You better go." Katie said. "Are you sure you don't want me to drive you home?"

"I'll be fine. My house isn't that far. Thanks though." I said walking out the door.

"By Leah!" Katie yelled after me. I turned and waved.

I walked on the road, still wet from earlier rain. I passed through town, because there were street lamps this way so I could see. Thunder crashed and it started to rain once again. No restaurant was open by now and my house was still a long way away, so I ran into an alley way. There was a tarp between the two buildings, so I didn't get wet. I sat down shivering in the cold. I closed my eyes and listened to the sound of the rain fall to the ground. The thunder crashed and I jumped a little. Then a chill ran down my spine. I felt a warm breath on the back of my neck.

"Hello there, princess." His voice was scratchy and eerie. I didn't move. He put gently lifted his hands on to my shoulders. Every hair on my arm stood up. He slowly dug his nails deep into the skin of my shoulders. I whimpered a little when I felt my warm blood start to run down my shirt.

"What's wrong, princess?" He laughed a little, and released his hands from my shoulders. I took in a deep breath and closed my eyes. I gasped when I felt his tongue run over the bloodied area. He then pulled my hair over to the side. He bit the skin on the back of my neck until it too started to bleed. I didn't want to see him. I didn't want to see any part of him. He saw I was shaking and laughed. Still behind me, he leaned in to my ear, and softly whispered. "I'll be back."

I woke up in the morning, still in the alley. There was blood in my hair and all over my shirt. I stood up, and picked up my coat. I was still shaken from the memory of the past night. I cautiously walked down the street, on my way to my house.

When I got to my door, I put on my coat before going inside. I didn't want any more questions than I was already going to get.

"Leah Jane! Where have you been?" My mom yelled.

"Oh...I......I stayed with Katie last night because it was raining." I lied. For some reason, I didn't think she would want to hear that I slept in an alley in the rain and some freak came along a hurt me.

"Oh, well as long as your alright."

I turned and waked up the stairs into my room. I took my cloths off and hopped in the shower. I had to be gentle around the sore spots while trying to rub off the dried blood.

When I got out of the shower I looked at my shoulders. You could tell exactly what the indentions and scars had come from. No use in trying to lie about that one. I put on a long sleeved turtleneck, even though it was rather warm to wear a a turtleneck. I left my hair down, just to make sure you coulsn't see the welting bruise from my little "love bite" on the back of neck. I laid down on my bed, and listened to music on my ipod. I wasn't hungry for luch, and I wanted to get the memory of last night out of my head, so I took a nap.

I woke up, panicked and out of breath. I had dreamed about the person last night. "It was only a dream." I told myself. I walked down the stairs and sat on the couch. I reallized It wasn't a dream. It had really happened. And it could happen again.

"Dinner's ready!"

"Coming mom."

I sat down at the table and started to eat. We had Fried Chicken with mashed potatoes and gravy. After I was finished eating I went to throw my plate away, but the trash can was full.

"Oh, Leah could you take the trash out for me?"

"Sure mom." I grabbed The trash bag and headed out the door. I went through the garage and down the long driveway. I looked up at the moon. It was full, and shining. But clouds started to roll past and cover it, so I started walking back to the house.

I was about ten feet from the house when a hand covered my mouth. Another slowly snaked around my waist. It grabbed my wrists, and pushed me around to the side of my house. Eli, my youngest older brother did this to scare me all the time. The moon was completely covered by clouds now, so I couldn't see, but I knew it was him.

"Eli!" I tried to say, but it sounded more like Iwwy than Eli, because his hand was still over my mouth. He pushed me against the side brick wall of our house. I waited for him to say something stupid, like he always did, like "give me your money or I'll shoot" or "Get in the van and nobody gets hurt."

"Hello, Princess."
