Tap Tap Tap. Is all you hear throughout the classroom waiting for the bell to ring as I tap my pencil on my desk. I'm pretty sure the kids that are taking notes are getting annoyed but right now I don't care. We have less than a minute before class ends but it seems like it's taking days. I look away from the clock for a second to see what the teacher wrote on the board for homework tonight. And let me tell you if glares could kill you I would be dead right now. I snicker. Oh well. RING!!! Finally I gather my stuff up and rush out the door i got a good pace going. I'm not running this time so I know I won't get in trouble. I dont want to get yelled at again when I get home. I'm so lost in my thoughts that I almost didn't hear my best friend calling me. Almost.
"Anna!!" I turn around and look at Summer.
"What?" She runs up to me.
"I thought we were going to lunch today?" I bite my lip.
"No sorry Summer not today i gotta go." I wave and start running the rest of the way to the library and go to the non-fiction section my favorite section in the library and I grab a random book off the shelf and sit down and open it up and start reading. As I started reading it's like I got put in my own little world...
The Golden Eyes
In a town far away there was a young girl who loved everything about the world. She wasn't anything special just a regular girl. Her and her father lived a pretty good life in a small town. Her name was Electra because of her eyes they were the most gorgeous eyes you would have ever seen. No one has ever seen such eyes but her eyes were a sparkly gold and she had long blond hair. Electra didn't really look like her parents she had high cheekbones like her mother and her nose looked like her father's other then that she had no other traits of her parents.
Electras dad was a very hard working man. His name was Robert he worked at a factory. When Robert was home and doing chores Electra always wanted to help no matter what it was. Her father meant the world to her, he was always there when she would get hurt or had a bad dream. She never knew her mother but her father said she was an amazing lady and she was so beautiful with long black hair and bright green eyes. Robert had short brown hair and blue eyes. Everybody in town knew who Robert and his daughter was. Robert was the most friendliest person you'd meet and Electra was following in his footsteps. If anyone in town ever needed help he was the go to guy.
Working at the factory wasn't easy, Robert only made .35 cents a day. He couldn't buy Electra everything she wanted and he couldn't take her out to a restaurant but what he didn't know was that Electra didn't mind. All she really wanted to do was spend time with her father that's all that really mattered to her. One day her father came home so excited. She had no idea why but she was soon to find out.
Electra's P.O.V.
Me and my dad were walking and I still don't know why he so excited. He won't tell me where we're going either. Its a surprise is all he says. im not one to like surprises much you never know what to suspect or how you're going to react to the surprise.
I just turned 7 a couple days ago I didn't really do anything besides help my dad with work which I don't mind i love helping my dad. My dad felt bad that he couldn't get me anything for my birthday but i don't care as long as i'm with him i have everything i need. My dad says I'm really smart for my age.
My dad stopped and i ran into him because of my lack of attention. I look up at him smiled and apologized. he just shakes his head and smiles widely. when i look around him i see where at a restaurant. I see why he's so excited now he's been talking about how he's been saving up to go somewhere.
We go in and seat ourselves moments later a waiter takes our order then leaves. Me and my dad chat about what neighbors we are going to help next tomorrow. We do the people who don't have much things for us to work on before we go to the larger amount of work to do just so they don't have to wait forever for us. We get done eating and my dad pays the bill he doesn't know that i peaked at how much he had to pay i was curious but it was a $1.75 a meal. It must of took him awhile to get the money for that.
As we're walking home it's dark, you can still see but barely. My dad and I were laughing and having a great old time but we we're stopped. There was a guy in front of us in one hand he had a bottle of some sort and the other a knife.
