II.
Grace was walking away from the football field an hour before another semester started. She notices something weird in that alleyway.
"Hello?"
No answer.
Huh, weird, she thinks. She begins to walk further towards the suspicious alleyway until she finds—
"Noccon?"
Parker was stumbling and wobbling, wincing in pain, holding on to that wall for dear life.
"Are you okay?!?"
She worried. Instead of panicking for a guy, Grace grabs one of Parker's shoulders onto her other shoulder and proceeds to take him to the infirmary.
The nurse saw the man's knees bleeding. "Goodness! What happened to him?" She asks, to which Grace replies about why and how she found him, but she doesn't say where she found him while Parker lays under the covers of the infirmary bed, accidentally eavesdropping on the conversation and very grateful that Grace didn't tell the nurse where she found him.
"Are you feeling a little better? Here, let me patch you up, okay?" He nods in understanding.
"I'll be going now! Take care, Noccon!"
Grace waves, heading back to one of her classes, after that the nurse then begins to patch one of his scratches; one of them is on his shoulders, where the nurse believes that these got scratched because he tripped over while running. The nurse also noticed his aching thighs due to running too fast every day. She also bandages his lower kneecaps, where he accidentally ended up scratching them because he slammed his back against a wall.
"Jesus Christ, who is he running away from?" She worries while bandaging the hurt guy.
"My, my! You should really be careful now and try to stop running every now and then."
Parker nods again. He knows that he should stop running for awhile now, until he's healed. He's been told so many times, yet he doesn't even listen. What a freak.
After awhile (a few hours), he was finally released. Teachers were asking where he was during classes, and you know, the nurse explained the stuff and such, telling them to shut up and not tell where he was.
And guess what? Unexpectedly, they didn't actually tell the students and kept their mouth shut for once!
It was time to leave the building before anyone from his class found out that he looked like shit.
A silent night as he keeps walking along with the bustling stray dogs across the streets of his neighborhood. Until he saw a stray dog barking at the cat, who seems to be a special breed, at the fence, the tail shaking badly at its meows.
Meowing and barking—that was all he could hear in the silence of the neighborhood. He found it really funny. Funny that this reminded him of someone that he really hates.
*WOOF
The dog confidently and proudly barks. It really does remind him of someone. Could he really think about him right now? Parker shakes his head, trying to stop himself from thinking about him. Then the cat meowed, making the poor guy flinch because of the noise that the cat made. Meowing like it's reassuring the dog to calm down, it sparks through his silly little brain. Once again, he's reminded of someone.
A girl who loves to reassure her friends that everything is going to be okay—well, sometimes. This person would always be lovable and caring to her friends.
