A couple days after, I was assigned to a new quest. This time, it was a personal mission with Riju, she didn't disclose much just told
me to meet her at the main entrance at 3:00 PM.

I trained until the time and then met her outside the town. She handed me a sand seal's lead and I used my Shield to surf along side her and her own personal sand seal. We moved northward towards the northern ruins and left our seals nearby.

"Why are we here?" I asked her.

"We're here to train for your next assignment."

"And what's that?" I asked, genuinely curious.

"You need to help Princess Zelda, and I'm going to help you do it. Without a chosen one to wield the Master Sword, Princess Zelda needs all the manpower possible. Lucky for us, she was able to awaken her powers, so she was able to secure control of the Divine Beasts before Ganon got to them. Although she doesn't have people to control them... Anyway, she needs every capable warrior ready to fight Ganon, and she needs me to control a Divine Beast. The original plan from a few years ago only stopped him from conquering all of Hyrule, and now our plan is to overwhelm Ganon with the whole kingdom's might, the Divine Beasts, and Zelda's sacred power."

"Wow, okay... that's... a lot to take in, and why should I do that?" I asked her. I wasn't particularly informed about the whole Ganon situation... except that we're not all dead. It seems ignorant but I just wanna keep traveling, it never really mattered to me. I'm not scared of death so what's the point?

"Because, I can get you imprisoned for trespassing into the Gerudo's sacred (voe-less) town. But if you can prove yourself in war, I will give you an official guest status." I was shocked but she continued, "So you come with me and prove your worth, and you get to stay in Gerudo Town. And I get to explore the outside world, so it's a win-win."

"For you! Who said I even wanted to have a special guest status thing?" Although I liked Gerudo Town, I definitely wasn't gonna be here all the time. Like I said, I'm a traveler, I don't do sedentary living.

"It's not like you have to stay in Gerudo Town, but it'll be easier for you to come and go."

That solves that, but do I really want to fight in the Hyrulean Army? Am I even talented enough to fight alongside the most talented swordsmen in Hyrule? Is it even a worthwhile reward?

"Is that even gonna be worth risking my life?"
I asked her.

"You'll have a better chance than surviving the Pit of the Gerudo."

"What's the... nevermind. I'll- uh... do it." I said, I do not wanna find out what the Pit of the Gerudo is...

"Great. Now let's train a bit before we head for Hyrule Castle. All the volunteers are set to meet at Hyrule Field, then we'll continue to the different strongholds that Ganon has secured."

"Okay!" I said, it was gonna be a long couple months. And it started now, with Riju in these ruins of a past civilization.

"You ready for this?" She asked me.

"Yeah." I said, drawing my scimitar and shield.

"Hold on, you're not fighting with those..."

"What do you mean?" I asked, lowering my weapons.

She snapped her fingers and some guards appeared from behind a pillar. They walked over and handed Riju a... broadsword? And a... more traditional Hylian shield. The broadsword was a basic silver double-edged blade with a red leather hilt. The shield was a basic silver design with a red Royal Crest in the center. The edges were a darker silver with screws surrounding the center shield.

"Ah, perfect." She said, grasping the sword and shield. Then the guard closest to me walked over and took my scimitar and shield. Then Riju spoke, "You'll be fighting with these. It is what the Hyrulean Army uses after all."

"Oh... okay." I said, taking the weapons from Riju. They felt natural in my hands, and I was ready to learn. "So you're gonna teach me?" I asked her.

"Oh no, I'm here to train with my guards. I have guests here to train you," She states, then she turns around and a man appears from behind a pillar along with a woman.

"Good evening, Link. Riju tells me you're a promising soldier." The woman says, "I am Zelda, the Princess of Hyrule. And this is my appointed knight, Erin."

Riju stares me down and murmurs, "Kneel!"

I kneeled before her and said, "It's an honor to meet you Princess Zelda."

"The honor is mine. It's good to get out of Kakariko Village, although my Father is eager for my return." She answered, "Anyway, Erin is here to train you. Apparently you're a very talented... traveler."

"It's nice to meet you, Link. As you heard, I'm Erin, Zelda's appointed knight." He told me, going to shake my hand. I stood and shook his hand, he seemed cheery but also slightly threatened.

"We embark on our first attack at Fort Hateno, just East of Dueling Peaks tomorrow. Then after that we will head to Wetland Stable and help the people that are being terrorized. Finally, we'll make our way to Korok Forest to save the Deku Tree. That's where our group will stop and return to Kakariko Village to organize the final plan for Ganon's destruction." Zelda explained.

"Well seems like we have a lot to do. Who all will be joining us?" I asked her.

"Well, Riju, a Goron named Yunobo, a Zora named Sidon, and a Rito named Tulin." She answered.

"Ah... and they'll be manning the Divine Beasts?" I asked.

"Yes."

"Okay, well let's get to work!" I said.
