*six month time skip* *jocelyns pov*

I was sat on the stage after our 7:00 pm show with some cast mates which included Becky, James, and Frida. The Tony Awards Nominees were tomorrow night! Luckily, we all got the night off.

"What're you guys doing tomorrow for the tonys?" I asked

"Hanging with the girlfriend." Frida responded

"So the cast isn't getting together?"

"No probably not. I asked the big guy," the director, "and he said we didn't have to." James continued

"Oh. Cool."

"So, Lynnie, how's Mike?" Frida asked me

"God, our sixth month is in like a week! It's wild." I looked down at my shoes

"Exciting! I wish I had a boyfriend." Becky sighed

"Me too." James caught us all by surprise

We all looked up at him and he looked confused before laughing lightly.

"Y'all didn't know?" His southern drawl came out, "I'm gay."

"Love that." Frida took a sip from her water-bottle

. . .

The next morning I called up Mike.

"Hey honey!" He said into the phone

"Hi Mikey!"

"What's up?"

"What're you doing for nominations tonight?"

"The cast is getting together at Josh's place since it's the biggest. Wanna come?" I heard him turn on a sink

"Really? I wouldn't be invading?"

"No! The cast loves you! So, I'll pick you up around 5:00?" He asked

"Yeah. See you then! I love you bye!" I was going to hang up then I realized what I actually just said

The other line went silent. My heart beat faster and my blood ran cold.

"Oh my god, Mike. I am so sorry. Please don't feel pressured-"

"I love you too." What?

"What?"

"I said, I love you too." A smile grew on my face as we said our goodbyes

I looked at the clock and saw I had 5 hours until he would be here and 6 until nominations.

. . .

5 hours later there was a knock on my door. I grabbed my tote bag and opened the door to Mike. He smiled at me as I walked out and locked the door behind me. His arm wrapped around my waist and pressed a short kiss to my lips.

"Hey."

"Hi."

"Ready to go?" He asked me

"Yeah. How far away is Josh's place?"

"It's on the upper east side."

"Are we taking the subway?"

"Do you want to?"

"Yes please."

We headed out of my apartment building and near the nearest subway station. Once there, we swiped our cards and found our train just as it arrived. I stepped on first and Mike right behind me. There were no seats so we were forced to stand. I held onto a bar and and Mike held on right above me. I was pressed into his chest due to the close quarters, which I wasn't complaining about.

After about 15 minutes we got off at our stop and made our way to Josh's place. I laced my fingers with Mikes as we walked and talked. Once we got to Josh's place Mike rang the doorbell and Ben Fankhauser answered the door.

"Guys! Mike and Jocelyn are here!" He called and invited us in

"Jocelyn?" I heard a few call back

"They didn't know I was coming?" I whispered to my boyfriend

"Some did." He whispered back as I got pulled into the living room by Ben

On the kitchen counter there was bowls of food and snacks of some sort. Kara took over and pulled me onto the couch beside her.

"Hey girl!"

"Hi Kara! How goes it?"

"I'm very excited for tonight! Got a very good feeling!"

We talked until the clock strikes six and Tommy turned on the T.V. I pulled Mike beside me for moral support and everybody came into the room and settled down. His arm went over my shoulder and I leaned onto him.

The program started and so did the nomination for Best Male Lead in a Musical. Jeremy was sat next to me and we all looked at him then back at the screen.

"And finally, Jeremy Jordan, Jack Kelly in Newsies!"

We all cheered and clapped for our friend and laughter slowly died down as more nominations went on. I was only focused on best musical or best revival of a musical. The host went on to announce Best Supporting Female Actress in a Musical.

"Lastly, Jocelyn Darling as Cosette in Les Miserable!"

I heard my name announced and everything went still. My first Tony nomination. People were giving my hugs and celebrating my accomplishment. I snapped out of my trance and a smile fell onto my face. Mike pulled me into a huge hug where my arms went around his neck and his around my waist. He whispered sweet words into my ear.

A few minutes passed and Best Musical rolled around. We all sat in anticipation.

"Newsies!" We all cheered

Then Best Revival of a Musical.

"Les Miserable" We all cheered again

Then the tech awards. Newsies got nominated for Best Scenic Design of a Musical, Best Original Score, Best Choreography, and a few others. Les Mis got Best Scenic Design for a Musical, Best Lighting and Best Sound Design.

After the Nomination ceremony Mike called us a cab and we drove back to my apartment. That night I slept with a smile on my face.
