Summer Dress
.| Chapter 2 |.
It started out with Belly running into the room and waking me up. She was sweating and half breathing.
"God Belly! Did you run from home to here?" I asked, rolling over to see her.
"Come-" She breathed heavily, " Come on! Get your bike!" She said, throwing the covers off of my half asleep body.
I rolled out of bed, brushing my hair before running downstairs still in my pj's.
We were biking for at least twenty minutes before she jumped off her bike at a small dock and started running again.
"Belly!" I yelled, jumping off and running after her.
"I'm sorry! Just follow me!" She yelled back, continuing to run.
She stopped, her face turned into an upset look as she watched the boat slowly move out into the ocean, away from us.
"I'm sorry you didn't get to catch the boat." I patted her shoulder, I was definitely not breathing and needed to sit.
"Its fine lets just go back." Belly shrugged, walking back to the bikes.
"Come on Laurel! My boys gotta get that bread." Jeremiah said as we walked in the door.
I smiled slightly.
"Good morning." Jeremiah smiled to me and Belly.
"Belly, Ava! Where have you been?" Mom asked in a worried tone.
"Uhm-" I started before she interrupted me, I just decided to go lay on the couch since I was still half asleep.
"Is that a bruise?" Mom grabbed Belly, holding her face.
"Uhm.. I- I bumped into someone." Belly said nervously, trying not to tell the truth.
"You bumped into someone?" Mom sounds really confused because that type of bruise would be from a elbow to the face.
"Doesn't look that bad." Conrad shrugged, looking over at Belly.
It got really awkward, until Jeremiah spoke up.
"Uh- Cereal?" He asked, turning around.
"Yeah, hit me." Belly gave him a small smile, sitting down.
"Oh my god!!" Susannah came running.
I covered my head with a pillow, Conrad gave a small chuckle since I looked stupid.
"Belly is going to be a debutante!" Susannah smiled, she sounded so excited.
"Hah... it's really not that big of a deal." Belly laughed slightly, Susannah gave her a big hug.
"I'm sorry like- Belly? Like my sister? Like that thing? Right there?!" Steven pointed at Belly, he looked so confused.
