Michael stirred for a second.

"What is it, Jc?"

"I want to move with you guys to California," Jc blurted out, "I think it'd be best for me and--"

Michael cut him off, "No, I won't have you living with us."

Now that I think about it, Michael has never really liked me hanging around Jc. He thinks he's a bad kid for some reason. Idiot, I thought to myself.

"Mom, what do you think?" I asked.

You could hear the tension and nervousness in my voice.

"My dad lives in California," Jc stated, "and I could maybe just stay with him."

By this time, Michael had walked into the kitchen, pouting like a child. What a dumbass.

My mom rolled her eyes and sighed. I knew the answer. I stood up slowly, you could see the hesitation in my motions. She sighed once more.

"I can't stop you from living with your dad, and what kind of mother would I be to break up the two of you." She smirked and winked at us and drug herself upstairs.

I looked at Jc. It seemed like he was waiting for me to. He pulled me into a huge hug and picked me up and spun me around. I always loved when he did that. I couldn't help but smile at myself.

"Better start packing tonight, Mr. Caylen." I said with a wink.

"I better be going then, huh," He said with a slight smile, "Good night, Emily." he finished.

"Night Jc," I said in a cheerful voice. "I'll come help you finish packing tomorrow."

I walked him to the door, gave him another hug, and watched him walk down the street. After making sure the door was closed and locked, I walked into the kitchen to get something to snack on before bed. There was Michael. Of course, I thought to myself. He gave me a dirty look and sped upstairs. Whatever. I grabbed some chips and ran up the stairs to my room. I watched tv and snacked for about 10 minutes, and dozed off to sleep.
