"His eyes, smile, hair, body and everything about him!" Claire is obsessed with this guy. First, she doesn't even know him. Second, he was way out of her league. "Claire, please not again. You don't even know the guy." I stood up and walked to her. Claire was sitting down on the bench with her books on her laps. She was holding a note. I couldn't figure out what exactly it was. "He gave me this note." It was a note! She handed it to me. It was perfectly folded and neat. It looked as if it was just made. It was only a piece of paper, right? "What does it say?" I know I had the note with me, but I didn't want to read it quite yet. "I don't know... Could you read it for me? I'm a bit nervous." Claire started to shake. I sat down beside her and unfolded the note. In perfect writing it said;

'Hey Claire,

Just a little note to ask if you wanted to go out sometime? I wanted to ask you in person, but I have basketball practice and can't see you after. So, I was thinking... wanna be mine?'

Mine?

Well his? Can't believe he actually said that. How could he?

"He asked you out..." I whispered, hoping Claire didn't hear me. "Really!?" But she did and quickly grabbed the note. She started giggling and gave me a smile. I was happy for Claire, but... I don't know. It didn't feel right. "Claire, I have to go. I'll see you in class after lunch." Since it was lunch, I quickly went to see this guy at his basketball practice. I opened the door and like I suspected he was kissing some girl. "Brandon!" I ran to him and pushed the girl away. "Hey, What you want?" The girl tried to push back to Brandon, I didn't let her. "Sarah, it's alight. I'll see ya after practice." He sent her a wink and she went out. "So, what brings you here?" He gave me a smirk and I rolled my eyes. I won't make the same mistake again. "What's wrong with you!?" He wiped the smile off his face and he now looked confused. "Claire. What was that for? Sending her a note, asking her out and the second after making out with some other girl!?" Brandon moved in closer to me and looked into my eyes. He won't always look into a girl's eyes and make them fall for him. His blue eyes would shine and the little spark after a wink would make you dream forever. "Ha, that? It's just a joke. She didn't take it seriously? Why would I, Brandon Thompson, go out with her, Claire Black? You make me laugh." I knew it..."You haven't changed a bit, have you? You're still the same jerk I fell for! Why would-" before I could finish my sentence he leaned in and kissed me. I had to admit it was a great kiss, but why did he? I turned around and found Claire standing at the door. She was completely shocked and heart-broken."See what you did?" Brandon didn't care what I said he just leaned it for another kiss, but I turned my head. "Claire! Wait!" I ran after Claire, hoping she'll forgive me. "What do you want, Wendy?" I found her in her hiding spot. When she was sad, depressed or just want to be alone she would come here. It was at the back of the school. There is a garden and there's a special bench she would always sit at. "I'm sorry..." I didn't know what to say really. Brandon kissed me, I didn't kiss him. "Claire, look. Brandon isn't the guy for you-" I couldn't continue since she kept cutting me off and was too annoyed to let me. "Why? Because you do!?" In a friendship with your best friend, never let a guy get between you two. "No, of course not. I was saying that Brandon is just a jerk and he did say it was a joke. The note was just for a laugh. He didn't think you'd believe it. I'm so sorry, Claire..." I apologized a couple of times. Finally she accepted my apology and I gave her a small, warm hug. After school we all met at The Hangout. Nearly everyone we knew from school went to The Hangout after school. The Hangout was located in a small restaurant. Used to be a five-star restaurant, but lowered down to two stars. I didn't think that was possible since the food was great. The place was cozy, but if you looked around there weren't much customers until we came. Claire and I sat down and away from everyone. Even though we had many friends, we preferred it when it was just her and I.

Unluckily, Brandon and his gang joined us around five minutes after Claire and I sat down."What are you doing here?" Claire asked. She seemed much more confident and didn't seem to show any feelings for Brandon."Nothing, just wanted to hang. Do you mind?" He looked at us, waiting for an answer. I nodded and he sat down beside me. His friend, Jonathan, sat beside Claire, but facing Brandon.

"So, you're Wendy?" Jonathan asked. He looked at me as if he was examining me. What a pervert!

"Yes, why?" Claire answered for me. She actually did take my advice seriously. "Nothing just wondering. And you're Claire?" Jonathan winked at Claire, but she just rolled her eyes and called for the waitress. Couple of minutes later, our food was finally ready. I was starving. We all ate and it was quite amusing hanging with them, but it still wouldn't change my mind about Brandon. Brandon did change in the past hours. Why was everybody changing? Maybe it's a good thing. Brandon couldn't stop staring at me.

"Can you please stop?" I asked him and woke him up from his little fantasy world. Was he daydreaming about me?

"Oh sorry. You're just beautiful and I can't stop looking at you." I stopped chewing my food and quickly swallowed it. What did he just say? "Wendy, I know you think I'm a jerk. I'm sorry. I was thinking, I do still love you. I'm sorry I messed up our last relationship and I badly regret it. Will you forgive me? Also I wanna give 'us' another try, do you? Wendy, I love you."
